creepshow was good.
I like how two great people made such a good movie.
and most of the time I HATE the whole "segment" shit.
This is one of the ones I like.
because it tells enough about the people and shit to know what is going on.
unlike "quick silver highway"
Which was okay , but not scary...
I remember going to the horror section as a child, looking for something that was not crappy, I love great horror movies I can get into...
after reading that I am a friccen geek,.
sorry to bore you, people

KRUGERKID13 08-18-2004 08:50 PM

yeah creepshow is awsome for a segment film

Hate_Breeder 08-18-2004 08:52 PM

CursedRatMonkey 08-18-2004 08:55 PM

KRUGERKID13 08-18-2004 08:56 PM

yeah it happens all the time

JokerMONEY3000 08-19-2004 04:00 AM

lol, this thread grew a page over night. I did like Dennis Hopper in Spedd, but I thought he was horrible in TCM 2. Like that part when he has a chainsaw an starts running towards their house screaming, its so dumb

breech 08-19-2004 04:43 AM

"Agreed. he was funny as hell in Bulletproof. And a brilliant bad guy in Speed as well"

we talking adam sandler and damon wanyes bulletproof? cause if we are that james caan not dennis hopper - d'oh

and as for contagium....

cheap ass return of the night of the living dead rip-oof hap hazardly thrown together after such sucessful flims like dawn 04 and 28days later to cash in on the now growing popularity of zombie flicks...

it has nothing to do with ANY of romero's films and shouldn't be associated with them at all

it more follows the rotld plot line dealing with chemical spills and zombie outbreaks...if you watch return of the living dead they even referece a hospital in 1968 where a chemcial spill did indeed turn paitents into zombies, and the outbreak was covered up. that is where these filmakers got there idea...although not proven in the romero triolgy the idead that radition from a passing comet caused the dead to rise is hinted at in news casts in night of the living dead '68 - see maxium overdrive as a spinoff of this

kpropain 08-19-2004 06:33 AM

I have to disagree with Avenger, I watched the nine minute trailer and was very disappointed..It had shitty camera work, the guns sound like fucking cap guns, and the acting was horrible..
Granted they did say that some of the special effects had not been added in yet, but if you are going to put out a trailer based on the name of one of the best zombie films ever you better have your shit together.

Sadly this movie is going to suck ass big time.

CursedRatMonkey 08-19-2004 07:23 PM

you know the guy who made ROTLD helped make the original night, right?
and I don't care if they suck or not, I still want to see them.
I have been watching these movies since I was like 9 or 10.
I MUST SEE DEAD FILM IN THEATRE!

and 28 days later, was really a "zombie" flick as in the creature feature term which is "undead zombies back from the dead"

28 days later is resident evil, and the dead films put together and based in britain.

And the main character looks strangely like my old coach.

i'm assuming you're talking about john russo, in which case he cowrote the original notld but his script for rotld was not used.

JokerMONEY3000 08-20-2004 06:25 AM

I get confused, but let me ask. First comes NOTLD, an then George Romero an the other guy split an made 2 different movies, Romero had the right to use Dead, an the other guy could use Living Dead, so then Romero made Dawn of the Dead, an Day of the Dead, an the other guy made ROTLD, an ROTLD 3?

NOTLD

Romero
Dawn of the Dead
Day Of The Dead

OtherGuy
ROTLD
ROTLD 3

So NOTLD is the original, an they both made different sequels for the same movie>?

CursedRatMonkey 08-20-2004 07:59 AM

Yeah, aswell as other people.
Lucio Fulci's ZOMBIE was a sequeal to Night.

And thanks zwoti, I am bad with names.

JokerMONEY3000 08-20-2004 08:16 AM

lol, one beginning with branching sequels

CursedRatMonkey 08-20-2004 08:23 AM

Yeah, and alot of them suck....to me./
I liked Zombie.
And I hated city of the Living dead...I think thats one sequeal of it.

JokerMONEY3000 08-20-2004 08:48 AM

The true sequel is Dawn of the Dead, an then Day of the Dead. cause Geroge Romero directed the original, then only his sequels should be the true ones.

see the earlier post........and he had nothing to do with rotld3, strictly speaking he had nothing to do with rotld.

JokerMONEY3000 08-20-2004 09:02 AM

oh

LOL my thoughts exactly man..:D

Living/Dead 08-20-2004 11:47 AM

Maybe you can't judge the movie by the trailer but you can get a sense of how it's going to turn out, and that trailer is crap.

Oats 08-20-2004 01:52 PM

dude, home videos of a bris have better production values than that shit fest

massacre man 08-20-2004 02:33 PM

ok for you people who keep getting confused the romero movies are

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD
DAWN OF THE DEAD
DAY OF THE DEAD
LAND OF THE DEAD
USELESS REMAKES OR SEQUALS
NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD
DAWN OF THE DEAD
DAY OF THE DEAD CONTAGIUM

Sistinas 08-20-2004 03:05 PM

Does Children of the Living Dead fit in somewhere? That was a real shitter.

and you'd have to be a retard not to see how crappy this movie will be from the first ten minutes

oats you said it the best - although i suspect surplus copies of the film will be used as door stops not finding thier way into the bargin bin...that is for bad movies - contaguim falls into the "never should have been made" catogory

JokerMONEY3000 08-21-2004 05:22 AM

i can I see the first 10 minutes? Its not out yet. BTW i probably shouldn't say I don't judge movies I hav'n't seen. I saw Hellraiser 1, and I've judged the rest.. So nevermind

CursedRatMonkey 08-21-2004 06:17 AM

Actually I liked the remake of Night of The Living Dead.

And as for some of the unofficial sequeals, only zombie and Return of the Living Dead are the only ones worth watching.

The Dawn remake was okay, but I didn't like the running zombies, the vans, or alot of the actors.

And alot of people didn't see tom Savini in that movie BUT I DID!

JokerMONEY3000 08-21-2004 06:51 AM

The NOTLD remake was a helluva lot better than the black and white version

CursedRatMonkey 08-21-2004 06:55 AM

I think they both have their moments.
the guy who plays barbera's brother is the guy who played chop top on TCM2.

lol oats you rule

and only savini...

wtf is that...

he is minor compared to the OTHER two actors with cameos in that flick

not to mention the other suttle 1000 references to the orignal night, the remake of night, the orignal dawn, and i think there were even a couple day references in there as well

JokerMONEY3000 08-27-2004 06:23 AM

lol

CursedRatMonkey 08-27-2004 07:38 AM

All I can say is...If you don't tell anyone about my wooden penis, I won't tell anyone that you have splenters in your mouth.....I don't know..that joke is so old.
