I really like Korea. I've been in Korea for 3 months now...just here to visit my parents. Can't wait to get back home. I'm leaving at the end of July....just in time for the best part of summer!!

Yeah, I think you'll find that even people who live in shitty third world countries think that theirs is the best. It's all nationalism. I was born in the US, but grew up in Canada. Now I am in the US again ... so, I like 'em both. I like Canada more, though, as far as its overall liberalism in politics and the views of the population in general.

I've heard very... disturbing things about the Korean government. Are any of the rumors true? How harsh are the laws/punishment?

I haven't heard anything disturbing. I don't think the laws are any different than in Canada...that I know of. Who knows about the punishment. Its seems pretty popular here to kill yourself before going to court or jail. Suicide is better than going through the humiliation of disgracing your family.

They are suppose to wear helmets while driving a motorcycle...but most of them don't...even on the highways!! Sometimes you see up to 4 people on a motorcycle too!! Some of the things they do over here are crazy in our opinion...but...its normal to them so....
