Bram Stoker's Dracula BY FAR.
Queen of the Damned is horrible. They completely slaughter the book (and actually, they combine two books into one, The Vampire Lestat and The Queen Of The Damned). HORRIBLE adaptation. |
Dammit ... this one is hard. I hate them both. I'll say "Queen of the Damned", basically because it is an original story ... not some obscenely bastardized retelling of a well-known story. I hate what Coppola did to the character of Dracula in his film. Making us feel sorry for his ass. Dracula is supposed to be a relentless, emotionless, evil bastard. Not some weepy, love-lost soldier.

It's fine that you guys like to voice/discuss your opinions about the movies, but would you mind casting a vote while you are here posting?
Right now, I have 1-0 Queen of the Damned! (The one is Stingy's, who I agree with completely. Both of these movies sucked and, IMO, the Dracula character was totally pussified in Bram Stoker's. |

John Carpenter's Vampires. Ege, BTW, I haven't read any of Anne Rice's books (which is probably why I didn't realize "Queen" was not an original story.) I saw Interview With the Vampire when it came out, and hated it.
