I know that you're a found footage fan, so I say check it out; you may wind up liking it...

The gist is that a couple goes off into the middle of nowhere so that the husband can focus on creating a film... While out there, they see these creepy totems and it turns out that the creator is a Banksy-like persona that is incredibly mysterious... From there they become obsessed with his art and folklore...

Honestly, I applaud it for having more of an original concept - Not your run-of-the-mill haunting... What irked me was that the characters weren't likeable, they made really poor decisions, and there were some moments where you had to ask WHY ARE THEY FILMING?? I know that that happens with most found footage but if it's done well, you don't focus on it. The movie also is going for an absurd kind of feel (like yellobrickroad and The Corridor), but it just wasn't successful...

Netflix thought I would love it but I was not a huge fan. But, again, if you're a found footage fan, I say check it out. My husband actually enjoyed the first third of it (but eventually gave up).

I don't really care about people not putting down the camera. I don't see why everyone is so focused on attacking found footage films on that aspect.

Everyone has their own opinion.....

Can we get back to the game now????

No.

Isn't DISCUSSION what a FORUM is for? Even in a game.

Because you've grown up in a world where it's normal to be narcissistic, self-important, and self-absorbed. Where watching and commenting on the world is what people do instead of experience it. They even watch videos of people watching videos. I anticipate soon we'll have videos of people watching videos of people watching videos.

For people older and more experienced, it's harder to grasp why people don't HELP EACH OTHER. That used to be a normal thing to do, so when they see a scene where someone is slowly being eaten, or dragged away, or whatever, and someone is just standing there, filming every gory detail, it's hard not to shout in frustration, "Put down the camera you idiot, and clobber that thing over the head!"

That is the probably the worst generalization I've ever heard.

Of course you think he's right. You don't have a clue what people are thinking except from what you see on television because people assume teens and people in their 20's listen to what they say in the media because, and this may sound hard to believe, we don't care what TV and advertisements tell us because we know it's bullshit. People act as if narcissism, self-indulgence, and selfishness didn't exist in the perfect generation that they grew up in. And are you fucking kidding me? I laughed so hard when he said that people don't help each other anymore. It's not just old people who think that they should put down the camera; it's almost every age that watches that sort of movie.
