I kind've liked all of these.
Though I'll go with NOES as it's pretty much my favourite of the sequels. |
Sleepaway Camp! Its fairly unique in the slasher genre, that friggin ending

Well, it appears that we already have a winner! The results were:
Sleepaway Camp:5 (natedog722, fortunato, bamahorrorfan87, Fulg HoarAR, and V) April Fool's Day: 0 A Nightmare on Elm Street Part III: 1 (cheebacheeba) Thus, Sleepaway Camp is clearly the winner! I also would have voted for Sleepaway Camp, although personally I really liked the other two too. But, I thought Sleepaway Camp was a fresh approach to the Slasher genre with very good acting and an interesting plot. |

Mother's Day.

Prom Night
|
Tough one. I really like all three of these.
Happy Birthday to Me. |
Mother's Day
|
Mother's Day for me.
|
liked all three....going with Happy Birthday To Me
fun little twist and starring one of my favorite actors from "back in the day"...Glen Ford |
Prom Night

Happy Birthday to Me
|
Prom Night
|
Prom Night!
|
Happy Birthday To Me...
|
Prom Night for me; it was pretty compelling. Good cast.
PS - Happy Birthday to Me - it was so weird seeing Mary Ingalls (Melisa Sue Anderson) is a horror role. |
So, I assume you are voting for Prom Night? (I will count your vote as Prom Night, if you do not want this, you have one hour to indicate this)

Well, after a grueling match between the three, we finally have a winner! Here were the results:
Prom Night: 5 (natedog722, horrorfangirl66, tiberius, MichaelMyers, and Sculpt) Happy Birthday to Me: 4 (knife_fight, newb, Rela1024, and realdealblues) Mother's Day: 3 (V, The Villain, and fortunato) Thus, Prom Night is the winner! Unfortunately, I have not seen Happy Birthday to Me or Mother's Day, but have heard alot of good things about them. Consequently, I would also have chosen Prom Night. We will now move on to the next category of horror movies: Scfi Horror Also, I would like to inform everyone that just in case a particular category threatens to kill this thread I will impose a maximum time limit on each section. Here is the modified rule: after I post a given section, then there will be an approximately 68 to 72 hour maximum time frame to respond. If a film has failed to receive the five votes needed to win by or before that time, then the film with the most votes will win. If there is a tie, then my vote will be the tie-breaker. Hopefully, I will not have to invoke the time frame clause, but I just want to have it for additional protection to prevent the death of this thread. |

Aliens..........

Predator...
|
Predator.........
|
Night of the Comet gets on the board with my vote.
|
Predator for me
|
Aliensssssssssss
|
Hands down, Aliens!!!!
|
Aliens ....
|
This is really tough...two of my most favorite movies of all time.
Damn, can't choose between them. I abstain from voting in this one. |
Just like -V- said,a really tough choice,i could choose all three.
Although i love them all i am going to choose my guilty pleasure and that is: Night of the Comet. |
ALIENS, on rewatchability.
|
Aliens........
|
I think Aliens got to 5 votes first, but I'll still throw a vote to Predator.
If it was "Alien" I would vote for it over Predator, but the original Predator never gets old, unlike Bill Paxton's constant whining in Aliens. |

Predator

Despite a close round between Aliens and Predator, we have a winner! Here were the results:
Night of the Comet: 2 (Michael Myers and Anthropophagus) Aliens: 6 (sculpt, knife_fight, horrorfangirl66, Kandarian Demon, cheebacheeba, and fortunato) Predator: 5 (natedog722, tiberius, The Villain, realdealblues, and roshiq) Thus, Aliens is the winner! Personally, it would have been between Aliens and Predator, although Night of the Comet was perhaps the best B-Movie of the 1980s. In the end, the two films have their own things that make them awesome. So, for me, it comes down to the creature I liked best. So, I would have chosen Predator. Again, Aliens is a great choice as well. |

John Carpenter's The Thing
|
Another tough one. Fly and Thing are each better than the other in different areas. I'll vote The Thing.
I think the Fly is partly about the dangers of the Übermensch mentality. |
