Eraserhead...........I thought the movie was gonna be the greatest thing ever cuz of all the good reviews I read....I watched it........and I was left with a bunch of what the fuck and how the fuck did that happen it was so.....weird if there was a plot I sure as hell did't get it the image of the alien baby and lady with the fat cheeks always come to mind.....power to the ppl who love it

William Seabrook 08-29-2011 03:50 AM

I really didn't like the Last House on the Left (remake) Its hard to remember the ones that sucked. Halloween III was kind of a let down I remember that.

I liked the ending to the remake better because logically it made more sense but the rape scene went on way too long.

Completely agree a complete let down that film.

Oh and zombieness-you should have got a refund for the Nightmare on elm street remake-I still can't bring myself to watch the friday the 13th remake-Betsy Palmer as the original Pamela Voorhees is impossible to beat.

I was turned off by the rape scene too. Usually I can take brutal and graphic stuff, but it just went on and on and on.

I saw it in the theaters with my ex girlfriend who had unfortunately been raped when she was younger. Really bad decision on my part. It was really uncomfortable, she got really tense and almost threw up.

shit mate, sorry about that. tough movie to go and watch, lucky it wernt spit on ur grave i thought that was worse. the rape scenes in that movie were over the top for me, the rape in that movie went on for ages then when i thought it was over it all started again. i thought that movie was so pointless to me.

See, the thing was the rape scene in the original really wasnt that bad and me and her watched that one first (with a warning about the rape beforehand) and she didnt have a problem with it. I had no idea it was going to be so graphic in the remake.

There was no way i was going to show her I Spit On Your Grave. I absolutely hated that movie, both the original and the remake. Those movies are nothing but filth and offer nothing to the horror genre except a bad rep.

That really sucks. I liked the original, but that one scene kind of ruined the remake for me.

i dint like last house on the left, new and old one. but i preferred it to spit on ur grave.

I actually wondered about the movie. Was it good? I can take brutal if its part of the plot and not just brutality for brutalities sake.

I loved Irreversible its a completely unique little film-pretty fresh and exciting a great example of excellent contempory horror.

As for I Spit On Your Grave Original-I've said before that I thought it went too far but you could write an entire dissertation on it! It's about how both sexes can use sex as a weapon and how far us as an audience are prepared to go in watching sexual violence in a movie.

I just think they both went a little too far. All that wasnt needed and that goes for the fire extinguisher scene in Irreversible as well..good god that was horrifying.

i have to admit i found it a hard movie to watch and
it was a horrifying movie but with a good storyline, unlike i spit on your grave.

TheWickerFan 09-03-2011 12:10 PM

The main problem I had with Irreversible was its gimmicky style. I understand they were trying for something different (story in reverse), but they didn't pull it off successfully in my opinion.

That did make it pretty confusing

William Seabrook 09-05-2011 06:48 AM

Another really crappy movie I saw was Paranormal Entity (a pretty much admitted complete rip off of Paranormal Activity). I mean really had absolutely no high hopes for this movie going in, but it just completely blew. I saw it on netflix, and endied up just fast forwarding through many parts. It was just really, really boring.

Fearonsarms 09-06-2011 01:15 PM

I'll also add

Wolf Creek
The Lost

For having the most ridiculously unbelievable serial killers and characters you hate even more.

The White Ribbon-the most condescending and patronising film ever-Michael Haneke really lost the plot with this-watch instead The Piano Teacher, Hidden or even the original Funny Games-Haneke's far superior back catalogue.

If you're talking about the Jack Ketchum adaptation then i somewhat agree with you. I was really disappointed in it but i wouldnt say it was one of the worst i've ever seen.

I would have to say either Human Centipede or Frozen. Human Centipede had a very stupid concept, and Frozen...Frozen was just stupid all around.

Lol. The characters just drove me insane. That and the stupid decisions they made. I was face-palming alot during that movie, like if you jump from a major height- 1. You're prob not going to live, and 2. Why would you attempt to land on your feet?? But the major issues I had was just their stupidity.

Yeah the jump was pretty stupid but they were cold, scared and desperate. So obviously they werent thinking clearly. As for landing on his feet, i'm sure thats not what he was shooting for. He had been sitting on the lift for awhile in the freezing cold so he was probably pretty stiff or numb and i'm not sure how easy it is to position yourself from falling. I didnt really notice any other stupid decisions they made though. I thought the characters were really well done and felt real.

There were times where I feel that they could have done better. However, I do agree with your comment about the characters, they were pretty good, as was the acting. It was pretty believable. And it was a pretty enjoyable movie- well minus the fact they were in a horrible situation haha. Maybe I should watch it again.

There probably was more that they could have done but that was something i liked about it. Whenever people watch movies like this they always yell at the characters to do certain things, things you see characters do in action movies. I don't mean crazy fighting or anything but an instant reaction and clear thinking to a situation. That doesnt happen in real life. It's easy to be calm and rational when you're sitting and watching a movie but placed in a situation like that yourself, you'd probably be more apt to freak out and make bad choices. So i liked that aspect about it.

There are a lot of horror movies that do that however where it doesnt come over right and those times i don't like it. But it played out well in Frozen, i thought.

I tried to remember that it's more realistic but for some reason it still annoyed the hell outta me. I guess it's just because I'm more of a naturally calm person who thinks majorly before I act and aways forces myself to be calm no matter what happens...hmmm...you do make a ton of great points though, I have to say.

Well i guess if you ever get stuck in a ski-lift you'll be good then lol. Honestly theres nothing wrong if you didnt like the movie. Not everyone is going to like all the same stuff. I myself just really enjoyed it.
