This one needs more love.

Mantan Moreland is soooo under rated.

The Villain 08-05-2011 08:53 AM

Didnt know about that one. I'll have to check it out.

Has to be Dawn of the Dead [2004] - LOVE IT.

I like the Resident Evil movies too though, but the last 2 sucked.

I hate the Resident Evil movies. I saw the first in the theater and almost walked out. I'm a big fan of the games and i dont understand why they couldnt just make something truer to them. If you're going to make something so radically different, then just make something different and call it something else.

The only Resident Evil movie i liked was Degeneration, the animated one.

Yeah i know. That's the problem with movies nowadays. All Hollywood cares about is making money.

Unfortunately not-I missed a chance to see it on the UK's Sky TV Pay per movie which I don't have anymore. If I do find it I'll let you and hammerfan know.

I haven't played the games, so I don't know how true they are to them.

Did you read the comic first? I didnt, and a lot of the people that I talk to about that show seem to like it more if they didnt read the story before watching the show. Having read the comic after I watched the first season I can totally see the argument

No never did. My problems are with the show only, not any problems with the crossover from the comic to TV.

leezuki 08-07-2011 02:14 PM

i think people liked the walking dead series, who never read the comics.i liked the comics.

what was your problem with the show ?

The Villain 08-08-2011 08:34 PM

I hate how they call them Walkers and i think it was Geeks instead of Zombies. Everyone knows what a Zombie is, just call them that. It's not like there are different types running around like in Resident Evil.

I hated how even though they were in danger of zombie attacks at all times, they still decided to make camp right out in the middle of the open. The world is pretty desolate now, there are many places you can take cover in and you just hang out outside in the woods? That's pretty stupid.

I hated Shane's character.
SPOILERS:He's fucking his friends wife and then when it turns out he's alive, Shane is mad like Rick did something to him instead of the other way around.END OF SPOILERS

When the Zombie's attack the camp Shane blames the whole thing on Rick because they decided to go get the guns and werent there to help even though it was Shane's decision for them to stay there and the guns that Rick risked his life to get were the only reason why they survived the attack.

The ending was anti-climatic and rushed and there wasnt enough of the zombies.

i hated the ending, but like i said i am bias, i liked the comics alot more.the show could have stuck like the comics alot more,it was only the first episode that was like the comic then after that it went totaly away from it.

Just saw the astonishing I Walked With a Zombie-as well as being consistently creepy it also seems to show REAL voodoo rituals although your view will depend on whether you believe in voodoo but I'm sure you know what I mean-it all seems so scarily genuine some of the scenes. Still need to see White Zombie.
