Still thinking :D

Leaders are now beginning to emerge in all categories, even though some of them are still being pretty hotly contested.

The number of nominees is still INCREASING, and the number of nominees for the Most Irrelevant Poster and Best Avatar is a whopping 11! (hot-damn, yes you read that right...ELEVEN!) Not to mention, FIVE other categories have 10 nominees each in them.

Whoa...anyways...

The lists are getting packed, and hopefully clear leaders will emerge after the next 4-5 entries come in. Right now, we stand at 16 entries.

Almost complete...hopefully I can send my list of nominations within a day or two.

Hmm, it seems we have a problem here. A vote for Faustus is a vote for me, which in turn is a vote for Ferretchucker, which is actually a vote for you, and so on and so on, in an endless cycle.

I guess the only suitable solution is just to give the three of us all the awards. That's reasonable, isn't it?

I don't notice (or care) who's absent. I don't miss anyone. I don't see anyone in particular being a troublemaker... I left categories blank because I did not have a nomination for them. I still don't and doubt I will. If you need to disqualify the rest of my ballot due to a few omitted answers, that's fine by me I guess.

Nope your entry wont be disqualified, bw. I was of the opinion that you might change your mind later and send me the rest of the noms. If you skipped them, fine.

First Official Teaser of the HDC Awards (so far)


Good morning HDC!

As promised here we are with the first ever peek at the HDC Awards as they stand at the moment.

Before I start though, I d like to remind those who HAVEN'T yet sent me their entries, that the following teasers SHOULD NOT influence their choices/entry in ANY MANNER.

Okay, here we go...

- For the Most Relevant Poster, the leader has already established a lead but we have seen before that stranger things have happened. (Number of nominees - 09)

- Most Irrelevant...your guess is as good as mine. I ll disclose this much - poor Thomasgeorge is almost forgotten. We just MIGHT have a new winner this year, as like last year. (Number of nominees - 11)

- New Member with Best Potential...this started off as a real one horse race, but another contender has sped past the original leader and sits firmly in a big lead now. (Number of nominees - 06)

- For Best Topic Starter, it is a HUGE one-horse race right now. No prizes for guessing who's in the mammoth lead. (Number of nominees - 03)

- For Best Horror Movie Recommender, it is still unclear who will eventually win. The number of nominees is huge, and there isn't much to differentiate between the top four. (Number of nominees - 11)

- Most Knowledgeable in Horror...its a real heated race between the top three contenders. This category stands at a 2-way tie for the lead right now. (Number of nominees - 08)

- For Best Avatar, we have a whopping 12 nominees fighting it out! Still unclear, this could go the distance and in anybody's favor. (Number of nominees - 12)

- Best Signature...same as Best Avatar. A leader has emerged but could be dethroned easily. (Number of nominees - 12)

- For Funniest Member, I think we all know who's in the BIG lead right now. If strange things dont happen, it will be yet another year with yet another win for someone. (Number of nominees - 06)

- For Biggest Post Whore, the nominee who had built a lead in the beginning is now in second place. A surprising contender has galloped right in front into the lead. (Number of nominees - 06)

- Biggest Site Whore...I think most of us have a fair idea of who might be leading the pack here. Things look like they ll stay this way till the end. (Number of nominees - 08)

- For Biggest Troublemaker, it was initially a tied race between two pretty notorious nominees. But one of them has finally stretched a lead over the other, and seems pretty set on building it till the end. (Number of nominees - 05)

- Weirdest Member...even though this category boasts of 10 nominees, the leader has built a BIG and strong lead over the others. I dont see anyone toppling them, but let's wait and see. (Number of nominees - 10)

- Most Missed Member...has 11 nominees fighting each other, but one nominee has maintained their lead over the others. Whether it stays this way remains to be seen. (Number of nominees - 11)

- Most Absent Member...10 nominees here too, but yet again the leader right now has a good lead over the second-placed one. (Number of nominees - 10)

- Most Improved Member...surprise, surprise...has 4 nominees clumped together for the top honours. It stands at a 2-way tie right now, and its anybody's Horry for the pickings. (Number of nominees - 10)

- For Best Thread of HDC, it stands at a tie again! Hopefully we will find our winner by the time some more entries come in. (Number of nominees - 09)

- And finally, for HDC President, you all may have a faint, stirring idea of who might be leading the race. But there is a real twist in store for all of you who are good at guessing games. Ohh by the way, keep guessing about the twist! (Number of nominees - 08)
