Just getting home after spending the night drunk on a beach with a bunch of people I hardly know. Surprisingly not hung over, which is a blessing from God. Fun night, but kind of a fucked up crowd...

I have to have to be off-book for my one-man show by Monday, so I'm planning on spending the rest of the day doing mad script work.

21 page monologue? Lets do this shit.

Woke up to thunder at 9 which is a bummer. Luckily Prom Night was on the Scream channel to cheer me up.

It juuust started to pour again and I'm beginning to believe I won't get a chance to see any nice cars today:( Gonna drink my tea and get ready for the concert. "Rain or shine" better mean they had a back up plan to have all the bands indoors.

Friends' wedding in about three hours. Still rainy and overcast.
We'll see how this goes.

Woke up this morning and cooked steak and eggs and sauteed onions with friends. Delicious black coffee and garlic bread, too.

Just woke up and took a piss, I should load the pc while I do that, but I never do.
Called EB Games to see how much a trade in of my pink PS2 is worth, it has STARTED to fuck up...
Kinda feel like I need to take a shit now.

10:21 PM, EST.

Just watched this week's episode of True Blood with my boyfriend. I'm starting to get hooked on this show (the first season dragged a bit, some of the acting is terrible and the writing at times is just as bad... But this season has introduced an array of interesting characters that I'm psyched to see where it goes). The boyfriend is in bed. I know that I should go to bed, but anxiety is starting to set in. Maybe I'll do some yoga or meditation... Or continue to waste time here...

urgeok2 07-13-2009 05:16 AM

monday July 13 9:10 am.

Just thinking about the weekend.

Saw Ice Age 3D Friday night - as shitty as i thought it would be.
On saturday Iwent to a multicultural festival featuring among other things - 30 Scottish Drum and Pipe bands (in competition)
I took my camera - of course - and took over 1000 pics.

at the end all of the bands paraded down this area - i was in the middle of it.
after announcing the winners of the competition they played Amazing Grace.
It started with 8 pipers, and for the second chorus the remaining 500 plus pipers joined in - and i was overwhealmed with emotion .. started tearing up and almost completely broke down. Unbelievable. Must be my Scottish roots calling to me or something - I've always loved the pipes but thats never happened to me before.

Watched Sands of Oblivion Sunday afternoon while putting away laundry .. weak-ass movie.
Cleaned up around the house - we played some tennis at the school later on, and after that we watched a mom racoon and 6 babies playing in our back yard.

then we watched Knowing ... good film .. a bit of a tough watch. well made though.

hammerfan 07-13-2009 05:20 AM

I always tear up when I hear Amazing Grace played on the bagpipes. Don't know why......

:D No, they made me remember why I dislike organized religion - they're a bunch of freakin' hypocrits! I could write a novel about everything that goes on in that church. They disgust me.

The_Return 07-13-2009 07:29 AM

12:29 PM

On an extra long lunch hour today, which is pretty sweet. Training class hasn't started yet because of some administrative issues, so I'm back on the phones today instead of mentoring. Kind of a let down, but it's not too busy and the call are easy, so I don't mind. Hopefully going to start mentoring tomorrow.

Rehearsal tonight after work...supposed to be off-book, think I pretty much am. Should probably go to the gym afterwards - haven't been since Thursday? - but it's such a draining show to rehearse, both emotionally and physically, I'm usually dead tired by the time we're done. Might just take another day off and get back full-force tomorrow.

Just found the accounting error from last week. Thank god! Getting ready to go to lunch in a bit. Probably have another Leek and Mozzarella Fritatta again at Carma's Cafe again. They're just so good!

This past weekend:
Unpacked from moving, cleaned, and went to Target. Yawn.

Feeling like I'm getting in a yoga rut again, may need to incorporate another style (maybe Ashtanga) into my all Kundalini yoga routine.

Had a very long discussion with the president of church council and a few of us (the others that also left the church) are planning on having a discussion with the deacon of the synod.

Monday, 3:36 PM

Just finished a phone interview with a staffing representative. I think it went pretty well. I sometimes forget how incredibly charming I can be. ;) :D

I think I talked a bit too much (but that's what he gets for asking open-ended questions!) and don't think I'm necessarily qualified for the job. Also, the commute would be hell. BUT, if nothing else, it was good interview practice (even it if WAS just the easy, "Tell me about yourself" questions).
