There's so many unpopular opinions I have, I'm certain all it would do is start people on a hate parade against me, so I'll keep it with something tame:

The Star Wars Prequels are enjoyable movies (not "great", I will say, but enjoyable). Especially, the 3rd one.

The most unpopular opinion I have seems to be the definition of words. When I correct someone on useing a word in the wrong context it is always an unpopular opinion.

People are ignorant though and think that they can adapt words how ever they want if they kind of fit the circumstance. But if thats all we need to do, why do we even bother having language. why don't we just grunt and move our hands.

So that doesn't work for me.

neverending 04-15-2009 06:06 PM

Haha- I agree with you on that, Disease. I also get bugged by poor spelling and punctuation. Nobody's perfect- but some people don't even try.

missmacabre 04-15-2009 06:28 PM

I believe a woman's place is in the kitchen making a sandwhich. not even joking.

Phalanx 04-15-2009 06:45 PM

Mine'll be in the top few I'm sure.
...people will probably, and often do, mistake it for blatant racism...but it's not, I actually don't have any personal problems with the race in question.
It goes like this.
The aboriginal community here. Most of 'em seem to pretty much hate us, fair call..well, they've got cause even though some people might say "time to move on already", but yeah, they're just a skeleton, a pathetic shadow of a race that was once great...having been "bred out", killed, and the introduction of alcohol has pretty much left maybe one in every twenty of them a viable citizen in todays world...sure, my people might've put 'em in this situation, but it's a sad one...most of 'em just live off the govt all their lives and don't even try, just becoming alcohol and abuse related statistics...they seem nothing but a walking misery...
So my unpopular opinion is:
Back in the day, my people ought to have finished the job rather than subject the remaining portion to all the bullshit they did, because what they've left behind is just...almost like a dog with cancer...

Clockwork Black 04-15-2009 06:49 PM

Ughhhh. Lets see.
That soilders should be looked upon like there Gods of some sort. Look. I appricate everything they do, a huge amount. Its a hard, shitty job. Being away from family and loved ones in a country where they people your trying to help hate you. I get it. I hate that fact that it even needs to be done.
I just hate the fact the society shoves the idea down everybodys throat we should all hit the ground and kiss there feet everytime one graces us with there presence.
Its a job. THEY SIGNED UP.

I also really appricate the job garbage men do. The world would suck it nobody picked up the garbage and dispatched it.

To any service men/women on this board I hope I didnt offend you. Like I said, I appricate everything you do for this country. But I still dont look at you the way I do Superman or Spiderman.

X¤MurderDoll¤X 04-15-2009 07:26 PM

True. There are very few people who commit crimes to survive, but I think it is in part caused by the existence of vastly overwhelming wealth and poverty in people's faces at the same time.

X¤MurderDoll¤X 04-16-2009 12:06 AM

crime is mostly to do with poverty

no money, no education, drug addicted, desperate, cast aside.

I'm prejudice, against everything, including race. I'm not racist, I have friends of all shapes and colors. I also think that anyone who is mentally capable of dressing themselves and going outside, is prejudice to some degree as well.

I've almost got my ass kicked a number of times for that opinion, haha, almost.

Despare 04-16-2009 09:43 AM

I will refuse to pay higher taxes to help anybody out, and I in turn don't expect charity.

I think professional sports players are grossly overpaid.

I think racist jokes are funny. I'm not saying just black jokes, or just Mexican jokes... I think a lot of racist/religious/disgusting jokes are downright hilarious.

I agree, I just wish there were more racist jokes aimed towards whites.

C'mon man, what about all the Irish jokes, Polish jokes, and let's not forget the Jews who are constantly the butt of jokes. Shit, I bet there are Polish jokes than black or Mexican jokes put together (or they're simply adapted). Don't forget blond jokes, millions of those and let's face it, we all think of the typical Barbie girl when we're picturing the girls in those jokes.

ferretchucker 04-16-2009 10:39 AM

Europe is not better than North America. The EU are a load of whining arse holes who force us to abide by all of the rules to the letter whilst letting the rest of Europe see them as optional guidelines.

Both world wars were started in Europe, the soviet union still exists albeit not officially, the Euro, the french and other than the south and some parts of the far west the weather. Europe is crap.

But then there's Great Britain. How many other islands have the word "Great" in their name? The English language is widespread and two of the worlds other continents are mainly populated by the descendants of British travelers. The sun never sets on the British empire. Our history stretches far back and is long.

On the other hand, we are snooty, football hooligans, we were the face of one of the sides in both world wars, our (England) government bows down to the EU and who could forget Bono?

But still, patriotism should be something upheld by everyone. It's just a shame that in so many places in the world it is impossible to feel proud of your country.

Oh, and also I think that Black people who call each other nigger but get pissed off when a white guy says it to them are racist. If you don't want a word being said, don't say it yourself. It's a double standard and saying that one race can say something that another can't is not right.

Oh, and dead baby jokes can be funny.

All children should grow up a stay-at-home parent. Kids being raised by nannies and day-care workers is at the core of social devolution.

I've been home from work since Dec. 22 helping my wife take care of our 2 kids. They're not sick or anything, I just can't put a price on being here right now. Sure I won't be able to afford that new truck this summer, but damn if my boys aren't better off because it.

X¤MurderDoll¤X 04-16-2009 01:40 PM

urgeok2 04-16-2009 01:51 PM

There are no right answers.

Clockwork Black 04-16-2009 04:08 PM

Another pretty unpopular opinion I have is that movies arnt ruined by remakes.
Ive read 1,0000000 times. "THERE GONNA REMAKE_____________, THERE GONNA RUIN IT".

So the fuck what. Dont watch it and shut the fuck up about it already. Granted, most of them arnt good at all. Ill also point out, alot of movies suck. That isnt exculsive to remakes by any means. Im all for being orginal, but really, who gives a shit? I mean, the orginal Halloween is probley my favorite movie.
But nothing about my life changed when Zombies version came out. And by the way, when I put the orginal in the DVD player, it still plays. From alot of the online reviews Ive read people make it sound like Rob Zombie came into thier house and recorded his version over the orginal and all the orginal copies in stores within 100 miles of thier house.
Grow up, quit bitching, and get a life. Stop worring about somebody redoing something you had absolutely nothing to with in the first place.

The Flayed One 04-16-2009 06:37 PM

I believe too many people going to college is ruining society. Peer to peer learning and mentoring are plenty efficient for most jobs. Independent study can take care of most of the rest.

Learning should be self motivated with the goal of expanding your knowledge and passing it on to others.

Doc Faustus 04-16-2009 07:01 PM

I agree wholeheartedly. I left college because nobody around me really showed a desire to learn and the teachers were losing the desire to teach. The only sheet of paper worth 120 grand is a check for 121 grand.

I assume you say this, because North & South America are way different?

In that case, I'd like to point out that there's a hell of alot different about Sweden vs. Slovakia, or say Romania vs. the UK?

And regarding that whole college matter. Here, we get paid to go to college (that has to be unpopular to hear?)

What? I'm saying that you're comparing a continent to a country, it's like comparing grapes to fruit salad.

Pretty unpopular: that man was not made in God's image, we are just tools for other ethereal purposes and that we probably really do not matter much to him.

ferretchucker 04-17-2009 07:21 AM

I think the most logical explanation is that we did just evolve from small amoeba things. The bit that most people don't answer is how those things suddenly sparked into life. What made a tiny object suddenly have the ability to move and reproduce and grow? That is the one thing that keeps me an agnostic. Until I hear a plausible answer for that, I feel that there could very easily have been a higher power that sparked life into action and simply leant back and watched it grow.

X¤MurderDoll¤X 04-18-2009 04:42 AM

might only be unpopular among canadians but...

it's important that americans do not give up their right to bear arms.

I vaguely remember hearing about a group of people who believed it was vital that the american people have the power to revolt against a corrupt government. they wrote it down somewhere, it sounded like they thought it was important...

ferretchucker 04-18-2009 05:31 AM

Of course every American should have the right to bear arms!

http://www.tubearoo.com/articles/243...Bear_Arms.html

Clockwork Black 04-18-2009 06:01 AM

But really, who wants bear arms anyway? I mean, its fine it your a bear. But when the rest of you is human it just kinda looks funny.
