I think everything rocked! Dukes Of Hazzard, Star Wars Toys, The Racoons, The A Team, Manimal, The Fall Guy, The Goonies, Karate Kid, Brat Pack Movies, Moonlighting, Tiffany, Remember Go Bots?, The excitement of renting a video, top loader vcrs, movies were a big deal and they had an intermission half way through where you'd go buy ice cream, Legend, Krull...I could go on and on!!!

Other awsome 80's music:
Ozzy, Twisted Sister, Alice Cooper's Poison album, and of coarse....The Trick or Treat soundtrack by Fastway. Right propain?;)

Oh yeah and the karate Kid one of the main reasons I started taking Tae Kwon Do as a kid.

sleepaway 02-06-2004 01:21 AM

One of my strongest memories other than playing Star Wars all the time was my younger brother being shit scared of the movie House!!! And my friend screaming in my ear the first time we watched the first Nightmare On Elm Street!

Nope. I never liked Rainbow Bright. I did, however, love Strawberry Shortcake and I was her for Halloween one year. My best Halloween was when I went as Princess Leia (spelling?) I got all my costumes from Wal-Mart. LMAO!!!

kpropain 02-06-2004 01:24 AM

I am probably one of the biggest Star Wars nuts you will find I have a huge collection of Star Wars shit. And I remember seeing Friday The 13th pt. 2 in the movie theater and part 3.

Halloween pretty much doesn't exist here in the crappy UK. One of my biggest dreams was to spend Halloween in the states. Americans know how to celebrate a real holiday! It's not fair! All we get is like a late night showing of Halloween 3 if we;re lucky and some shitty brats wearing a bin liner for a costume and trick or treating two days too early!

Oh, me too!!! God, I had a HUGE poster of Darth Vader on my bedroom wall, right next to Freddy.;) I was obsessed with Princess Leia. I wanted to BE her, and get married to Han Solo cause DAMN he was HOT!!!!! LMAO!!!

kpropain 02-06-2004 01:28 AM

Like many others we haven't got a lot of stuff left but I kept a Taun Taun and Jabba and my cool Snow Speeder! I recall being jealous of my friends Ewok Village and another friends Hoth Wompa and dagobarr. I had the death star but it fell apart as they were predominantly made of cardboard. Have photos of it though!!!!

Hey, I STILL love Halloween. It was a big deal when I was a kid. A really important holiday. My mother made it a lot of fun. she took me to all the awsome haunted houses!!! I was a clown one year, and after getting my pants scared off in the haunted house, I was crying, clown make-up running everywhere. She told me everything was OK, and we were going to go home and then I said "I wanna go in the haunted house again!" LOL I loved being scared even way back then.

Another one of my fanmtasies - Drive-In's. Don't have anything even remotely cool like that here. I think someone was playing a mean joke making me be British. Is there many Drive-In's left though? I always think of The Outsiders when talking Drive In's.

Well, the drive-in I went to as a kid, The Comet drive-in, went out of business when I was about 14. they tore it down and built a fucking Carl's Junior in its place. That was in the small town which I lived in until I was 15, then we moved to the city. There is a drive-in here called Winchester. I really dont go to it since they only show new movies, which I'm not interrested in.
