i was a member there for a while ... most people were ok - a couple were assholes - just like any other forum.

seeing/owning tons of horror movies doesn't make someone cool ..
it's how you interract with others that determines if you are 'cool' or not.

and if you dont know how to interract with others, not only are you not cool - you are just a troll-nerd who cant play well with others and a blight on any forum, any party, any work place.

fair enough .. he provided it to people to use - assuming they'd act decently.

he has Mods in place to take care of those who cant get along.

I cant see where Horror owes us anything more.

He could at least fix all of the screw ups that occured during the 'upgrades'...And it would be nice if the mods that he appointed had the tools they need to do the things that need to be done, if no one else will do them...We lost many of the few abilities we DID have...We are even more limited as to what we can do now...Makes things a bit difficult...Like trying to hammer a nail with a pickle...

Horror used to hang out with us here the first year he added the forum. He signed in everyday, talked to us about stuff, just a regular member like everyone else, and a pretty cool guy, too...Then, things started to get difficult...FBI and all kindsa garbage...Horror dealt with that issue, and quite well...BUT...After that, he started appointing mods (we never had a mod until then...and we didn't need one either...We had NEVER had any problems here until then, and Horror has NO idea what sort of problems we've had to deal with the last 4 years, he seriously has no clue whatsoever), and he stopped showing up...After he had added 5 moderators, he said, "let me know if you need anything"...So we told him a couple things that needed fixing, and we never heard from him again until the 'upgrades' that caused many MORE problems, to which he said, "Let me know if there are any bugs so I can fix them", then we never heard anything about it again...Or at least I haven't...Zwoti might have, but I doubt it because nothing has been fixed...

Anyway, my point is...This forum belongs to its members now...The members are the ones who spend their time here and make it active...V is the one who helps to keep things moving, lively and fun, he puts more effort into it than any of us do...Horror doesn't have the first clue what this forum or its members are about anymore, and it certainly doesn't seem like he has any desire to either...So, I'm still a little miffed that he messed things up here and left it that way...If he doesn't want to participate in the forum that's fine, but if something isn't broken, it shouldn't be 'fixed'...NOW it's broken...

Think of it this way...What if you rented your home?...You paid your rent every month through the mail so you haven't seen or heard from your landlord in 4 years...You KNOW he's been around because he mows the grass while you're at work, yet when your faucet breaks you call him and call him and he never answers the phone...Then one day after 4 years, you walk in your house, and every room has been painted a different color...Red, Green, Orange, HIDEOUS...AND now your back door has a new lock on it, a BETTER lock for your safety...BUT, YOU don't have the keys for that lock and it's the kind that can't be unlocked from the inside or outside without a key...And...It's locked...You find a note that tells you about how he knows you'll love the colors because those are his favorites along with information about all the marvelous aspects of this new lock, and a 'P.S.' that says "let me know if you need anything"...So, you're a bit unhappy, and after 6 months of requesting a key with no response whatsoever, you figure you just have to change the damned lock yourself...

Now, before you say we don't pay for this site...'Traffic' pays for an internet site...So, time spent here, is money for the site...V has put in more than the rest of us in the last couple years, and I had amassed a ridiculous amount of hours here before the baby was born...So, I reiterate, this site belongs to Horror, but this FORUM belongs to its members

I agree with you 100%! And when I saw that, I mean it more than I ever have. I've sent him several messages, and though i didn't expect a reply because I'm just a normal member, he didn't even seem to acknowledge it. He puts no effort into this site at all. The mods are next to powerless. ___V___ deserves to be incharge of this place. Not a mod but literally INCHARGE.

just had to clear things up. even though ambiguity does add depth sometimes to the interpreter.

i cant see things in this analogy because - despite the fact that i like the interraction here when things are cool - i dont think of it as a home - just a forum.

i think of it more like - he gave us a sandbox ... a couple of the mods have shovels to scoop out the cat shit but other than that - it's up to us to play nice, share our trucks, and clean up after ourselves.

I'm a pretty low maintenance kind of guy so the colour of the sandbox or what kind of wood was used really doesnt concern me too much.

as long as we can play - that's all that's important to me - and he did provide a place to play.

and as far as the traffic it generates - thats fine - because all i care about is my wallet - and i didnt have to pay a dime to sit in the sandbox :)

i just wish the forum had more topics on an array of subjects. including dark arts, fate of humanity, space, spirituality(or lack there of), etc. anything along those lines. sure if i see or read something interesting i may bring it to light here but there isn't an abundance of it already. it's not a derogatory comment though, you can't find it anywhere anymore. the only places i remember having such discussion was satanist.net and that has been an afterthought for quite a while now.

I don't think anybody needs to be "IN CHARGE"...

This forum has been around a long time and everything you've mentioned has been discussed. More than once. Maybe search around in the depths, do some searches, and if you still want discussions on this stuff try starting a thread. Some of us don't like rehashing the same topics over and over again but for the most part the outspoken people in this little group always have something to say.

This is very true...I've made threads about EVERY ONE (except 'Dark Arts, I don't remember making one of those, but there have been MANY, I know that Haunted and Creeper have made some, and others, too) of those things myself, at one time or another...One of my 'fate of humanity' threads was called something like "How will it end?", another one had "apocalypse" in the title, my 'space' thread was called something like "What IS out there?", or something like that...And there have been TONS of discussions about religion and spirituality...We have seriously discussed everything here...But, trying to find it NOW would be a real bitch.

Yeah, so if you can't find it but want to drum up interest in a topic go ahead and start a thread. Don't be so damn presumptuous though.

no complaints. like i said it's rare that one would come across the nature of those topics anyway. if i happen to come across it i will read. if i happen to shed some light or rather some darkness on the issue at a point in time then i will not withhold.
