Saying "fuck them" is easier and easier everytime you do it....Generally, if people stare me up, I stare back, I'm a pretty big guy and can put on "kill you" looks on que....it's kind of fun to see their reactions when they realise THEYRE being watched...
|
ok...so I'm bumping my own thread back up...sue me....
Just wanted to know what you guys thought the most effective horror movie "theme" score was...anyone? Also, a topic close to my heart......horror based videogames, any format, any age....what was good and why'd u like it.....? |
i dont really pay attention to music in movies much, so sue me!
i like sound effects like freddys squeaking knives and lethafaces roaring chainsaw as for games, i dont play much anymore but i liked old horror games like dangerous dave on the pc, DD2 AND DD3. also biomenace, although thats more of an action isnt it. AND MOST OF ALL, MY FAVE: 'ALTERED BEAST' really old kickass game for the pc, u beat up monsters, zombies and weirdass bosses, and u can turn into werewolves, werebear, weretiger and stuff like that |
~~
|
I always get stared at because I wear black.
|
Yeah, I kinda liked altered beast too, it DID get a little repetetive, but yknow what, they've "kinda" released a sequel, finally....
It's on gameboy advance, anyone seen it? I've only came across it after buying a disk with 1000 gba roms on it tho, I dunno where it's actually sold, I dont think Ive seen it in shops... as for a horror-ish game, my favourite, and everyone up in here'll know this by now, is: zombies ate my neighbours....I cannot name the many reasons why this game rocked so much... The game that's made me jump the most is a toss up between Clive Barkers: undying, Blood, and Clock tower....speaking of which, what are the clock tower sequels like?, if anybodys played 'em As for a horror movie score, Im drawing a blank on my own question, can u beleive thaT? all I can think of is nightmare on elm st, always found that ominous and creepy... and yet another topic....anyone ever think they could do a sequel to "big trouble in little china"??? |
Beetlejuice + Who's got tha keen eyez?!?
Hey again all....just saw this last night, watching Beetlejuice, ya know the scene when he eventually escaped into the "living" world, he come's outta the ground lookin' all like a carousel...and on top of the carousel is none other than what musta been the inspiration for Burtons later creation, Jack Skellington....go have a look it's his head up on that biatch!
|
I know it's not just me that's seen it.....cmon, a fan of the Beetlejuice movie, confirm my theory....!
|
The Hunger Tv series
Anyone seen this either?
Hosted by David Bowie, It's like a slightly more twisted version of Twilight zone, not as "monster-y", but dark, with some really fucked up ideas behind it... thoughts?? |
(New?) Rugrats tv series
As most of you'll probably know, I live in Australia, among other things, land of the backwards tv releases...(and toilet flushes?), so forgive me if this is old news...
I have recently purchased a dvd titled: Rugrats: All Grown Up It had 3 episodes of rugrats on it, two of which were a 2 part episode called "All Growd Up", in which they imagine what things'll be like 10 years down the line. It had a song with flashbacks from the entire old series towards the end which gave it a very "end of series" feeling. Then I watched the rest, the First 2 episodes of the show itself called "All Grown Up" based on the abovementioned episode...I myself thought it was great. A couple of questions for anyone who knowz.... 1: Has the rugrats show officially ended @ that 2 part episode "all growd up"? 2: Has "All Grown Up" the series continued? I ask, as I have only been able to find this first dvd.... any info/comments would be cool -B |

On a note similar to what you are saying, I was at a grocery store with my daughter she was about 3, she was sitting in the cart and I was waiting to pay the bill when I notice the old guy bagging groceries is touching my daughter, now I dont mean in an inappropriate way but, I almost leaped the cart and shoved the guy back and told him "Dont fuckin' touch her" he was very visibly upset and everyone kind of stopped and looked. I could tell the cashier,an older woman, wanted to say something but I gave her the "I will kill you without hesitation or remorse look" and she didnt say a word. Maybe I overeact when it comes to my kids but I grew up street smart and my motto is to "Trust No One" there are predators around every corner, be one of the sheep or be the sheepdog and chase off the wolves. |

Good boy Creeper..(dig the new avatar daddy-o)..guy hand his hands on your daughter, motherfucker needed to be put (or thrown) back on his place, PERIOD. Shit like that don't have to be predatory for it to be crossing boundaries, I mean hey, I have no daughter for comparison here, so I'll use my woman - a cashier guy grabbed her, and I'd just as soon have broken his wrist, I commend your self-control!
Rayne, Big-Fish was Tim Burton? Now I DO wanna see it, hadn't heard ANYTHING about it personally, other than the name, which, to be honest, made me NOT wanna see it initially. Glad I have this info now. What's this site you were all so descriptive about in the last few posts? Shed some darkness about the content, will u, somebody? I think you'll very much enjoy James and the giant peach, Haunted, put it this way, it's a movie made by one of the best, based on a book written by one of the best, actually, THE best IMO (Long live Roald Dahl, you made my childhood a little more bearable), you gotta love that, right?!? Ritual, if you want a decent weapon, one that aint gonna kill, but definately have someone step off on account of the amount of quick blood it draws, I'd go with a surgical scalpel, minimal effort to use, easily concealable, and like I said, draws a helluvalotta blood...stings too... Just wanna take this oppertunity to thank you all for posting on my thread also, I am really diggin' what you guys are coming up with in here, it's almost starting to feel like a chatroom or something! Tommorow's my b'day (23), it's gonna get hectic, so I probably won't be in, I'll try to post a little later today if possible -B. |
another one....
Also, I just saw Panic Room for the first time....thought it was "ok" but hey, had NOTHING on fight club....what did u guys think of it?
and hey, just to throw in something new... What's everybody's a: Favourite Food b: Favourite 16-bit videogame.....? Don't forget to read the post b4 this one, its new too... |
Cheeba...You were right...Jack WAS there (his skull, anyway)...we saw him...Now it's YOUR turn...:)
As for your questions... a: "I don't like food anymore"...That's from Homestarrunner b: Shadowman...and Nightmare Creatures |
Hello again Rayne.....
My favourite food: PIZZA!!! FAVOURITE 16-bit game: Flashback/Zombies A.M.N Nightmare creatures rocked....shadowman not so much IMO, did you play Nightmare Creatures 2? That was just awesome.... I gotta mention here that u skipped a gaming generation tho...those are 32-bit games, on playstation right? 16-bitters were for systems like super nintendo, and sega genesis...I'd like to hear your answers on those too, if u had any? |
Quote:
Nightmare Creatures 2...on Playstation Shadowman 2... on PS2 BloodRayne...on Gamecube (Just thought I'd throw that in for no particular reason  ) On Sega Genesis...I liked Castlevania and Gargoyles...Damn that was a long time ago... How about the original Nintendo?...Friday The Thirteenth...and THAT was about 15 years ago...Looks like I'm showing my age here...LOL :) |

http://homestarrunner.com/main7.html You should check out the emails they're my fave part! You can also check out some funny holiday stuff in "toons" |
ok cheebs lets see if i can butt into the conversation :)
favourite food: mussels favourite 16-bit game: cant remember the name of my favourite game it was like this strategy turnbased game in asian language (i dont know asian but u can guess what the buttons mean) and the battle scenes were so cool u could have really cool armies of skeletons and stuff and a hero. good ones: offroad racing, u could run over animals and satisfy ur cruel intentions super tennis was good, quest (in asian language so i didnt understand the buttons at first but u find out what they mean eventually) never had a ps2 or ps1 xbox: i like xmen:next dimension and jedi academy, i wanna get enclave if anyone knows anything about enclave id like to hear ur advice whether i should get it and wicked lady ill definitely check out the site when my sound works, i think its stuffed and i need to restart the comp but i cant be bothered to restart the comp now and ppl who touch kids or stare at ppl for being different SUCK, they should go to hell and touch and stare at the demons all they want, lets see how fucking long they'll survive doing that. |
heya pred...mussels r cool by me, man....
love em...on seafood PIZZA...well, like only from good pizzerias u can, yknow, trust not to give you food poisoning. I just thought of an excellent turn based combat rpg game that was on 16-bit sega megadrive, the game was called "shining force" have you (or anyone else here) played that one? |
can't help u there buddy, never heard of that game
i remember a game called Actraisers on teh SNES it wass pretty good anyone read RA SALVATORE books? one old pc game i liked was One Must Fall 2097, nice robot fighting game, if uve played it what was ur fave robot they have a new remake of OMF but i havent played it |
Pred...I found enclave to be a bit dissapointing to be honest, great graphics and all, just was nowhere near as good as it looked, if u have a ps1 or 2, play nightmare creatures, similar, but better in my opinion.
|
well i will certainly consider what u said about enclave. what aspects were dissapointing? if im looking for an enjoyable action game with good length and a good variety of monsters, would it be good for that?
|
The graphics r great, the fact that you can do both a good or evil campaign (that are actually different) is good too.
If you ask me, the cpmbat is too difficult, and the enemies too continuous. But then again, I don't always agree with the crowd....try it, and tell me what you think all the same. I do remember Actraiser, and I think part 2, they were like slash 'em ups with rpg elements? For rpgs on snes, I liked the 7th saga. |
EVERYONE should play "Eternal Darkness"...That one will blow your mind....
"Gauntlet -Dark Legacy" and "Aidyn Chronicles" were really cool, too..." Conker's Bad Fur Day"...LMAO, That grim reaper and "Night of the Living Dead" sequence were priceless...I loved it |
i played actraisers, yes it was action with some rpg
u would start off protecting this town from monsters with that Cupid angel thingy,, also people would come to you with quests and stuff, then u would fight the monsters first level the boss was a centaur, 2nd lvl was a minotaur, 3rd level was a firespitting chimera, i never got past it :p |
Ah well, it was good while it lasted, but seems this thread is becoming just too heavy with replies, and has slowly started sinking....time for me to pump some air into this bitch!!!
Just wanted to thank all involved, over the past week we all had the oppertunity to talk about whatever, and I for one, think it worked out kinda well, it's been great getting to know a little more about you guys. The front page of the horror forum is looking FUCKING EXCELLENT again, and that's all I'm after... Yeah Pred - I think I preferred actraiser 2 myself, if Im thinking of the right game, but I think you were more of an archangel type dude than a cherub.... I heard Conkers bad fur day was excellent, well at least to the point that it had swear words amd "adult themes"...heh-heh, looked pretty cool too. I THINK I have read something saying there may be a follow-up on gamecube, but read it a little while ago, if there is, I hope they keep it hardcore 4 ya. Well, I'm 23 today....I think I'm gonna go get trashed. |
Quote:
Believe it Cheeba...Conker rocks...Happy Birthday...:) |
Quote:
AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :D :D :) :) |
Thanx for the wishes guyz.....
:D I'm outta here for now....yo pred, try to keep the thread warm for me man....LATERZ FOR NOW -B. |
ok i thought i had a lot of snes games but i havent played 'conkers bad fur day' or 'gauntlet' or all those games
on the snes, i played simant, legend of zelda, i dunno there were heaps of arcade games like robocop, final fight, rushing beat, teeneage mutant ninja turtles, i liked the asian strategy/rpgs, it took a while to learn the keys but it was worth it. |
