I never finished that one...all that boat/map shit just annoyed me, suppose I got a fair ways into it though. Probably won't replay through all that though.

I finished Ratchet and Clank - Tools of Destruction.
I seriously don't have a single bad thing to say about this game...other than I kind've WANTED it to go longer, and the last stage/boss might've been a little more intricate...but I guess they kept a standard challenge level, and I got pretty good/upgraded towards the end.
I was offered to replay the game on "challenge" level which has some additional enemies and difficulty, but you start with all of your upgrades and weapons.
Anyways, yeah...I wasn't a fan of the series, but this game was awesome, and I'd strongly recommend it to anyone
a: with kid/s
b: that thinks they don't like platform-y games.
c: Fans of the series thus far.
3-4 More Ratchet and/or Clank games coming out accross PSP, PS2, PS3 formats over the next year, and I think I'll definately be taking a look at those.

Shadow of the Colossus.
I admit. I looked at a guide twice, once to locate one of the bastards, once to help with the final fight (the shoulder shot, if that means anything to anyone)
...Very nice to look at, but in all honesty, it's a bit much to put yourself through, the majority of the game you're just running around "looking", no dialogue, no characters, and no real storyline aside from the beginning and end.
Don't think I'd play this again, just because it's been that much of a damn quest.

Freak 05-30-2008 04:14 PM

Spolier

I tried to kill Dimitri first but it was to much of a pain in the ass so I went for the money. Then when Roman's at his wedding someone comes to kill you but Roman gets shot instead.

ChronoGrl 06-15-2008 07:24 AM

Just beat BioShock. Great fucking game - Graphics, story, writing, engineering...

The final Big Bad was a bit of a disappointment, but I find that you spend a whole game building up your weapons and defense that the final Big Bad generally is...

The question is... What next?

The Mothman 06-21-2008 05:07 PM

I bought that just for the Halo 3 beta but was shocked with how fun Crackdown itself was. I need to buy the DLC and play it some more, what a blast.

what exactly is the DLC?
you heard anything about the sequel? one minute the company says they're not making one, the next minute they say they are, im not sure on the whole story.

They seem to be undecided on a sequel but I'm sure their quest for money will bring us one soon. As for the DLC I'm not 100% sure but I KNOW there's a nail gun where you can pin people to walls and that alone makes me smile. Not as cool/vicious as the meter in Fallout 3 that keeps track of the corpses you eat but it's a step in the right direction.

Freak 06-21-2008 10:45 PM

It's actually a harpoon gun and there are some new achievements as well with the DLC.Just sucks you have to pay for them.

The Mothman 06-29-2008 02:30 PM

Dead Rising.
Im a little diapointed. it was fun, but the story mode was rushed. you could not take your time, as everything was on a time limit, making the game go by waaay too fast, not to mention the ending left me feeling unsatisfied.

I still have to beat it... I died a couple times at one point and haven't went back to it. Loved the game though, the survival mode sounds like fun. I hope the next E3 has an announcement for #2...

The Mothman 07-03-2008 05:53 PM

do the time limits for everything not stress you out a little bit?

I'm glad I rushed through everything instead of exploring because from what I hear, if you don't blaze through the game, you can end up not having enough time to finish it!

friday13thfan 07-14-2008 08:10 AM

Just beat Dead rising on the normal mode aka 72-hours. Have yet to beat it on Overtime though.

VampiricClown 07-15-2008 12:12 PM

Conflict: Denied Ops

It was hard on Easy mode! I'm playing through on normal now. It seems a little easier on this mode...Weird.

I'm wondering if it's like Spec Ops: Stealth Patrol was on the PSX. The hard and easy were switched.

The Mothman 07-15-2008 04:20 PM

Just beat dead rising + overtime mode. got perfect ending.

Freak 07-15-2008 04:27 PM

Finally beat Caall of Duty 4 on veteran.Took me almost three months but I did it.There are some levels in there that are quiet rough.

The Mothman 07-15-2008 04:59 PM

i did that with cod 2. its a pain in the ass, but it got me 1000 gamerpoints.

Vodstok 07-15-2008 05:57 PM

FEAR Extraction Point was the last one i beat. The ending was a tad limp compared to the first game, but the game itself was fucking intense.

VampiricClown 07-20-2008 09:37 AM

Unreal Tournament III

The story isn't that interesting until the end. Passing off CTF, DM and KOTH as a campaign is a bit insulting, but otherwise.

Angra 07-20-2008 12:51 PM

Metal Gear Solid 4

Damn, there's a story? That's one step above the other UT games haha.

Yep. It has around....5 or 6, fully animated movies in it. The only cool ones are the first and last though. The others don't amount to a hill of beans.

First half was absolutely perfect. Perfect blend of stealth, action and movie, and some of the movies are really awsome i tell ya.
Actually the first mission, if i'm not mistaking, is the best. The surroundings and especially the sounds are astonishing. Like one of those really well made shoot-em-up war games that are out there.

But from the "Shadow Moses" mission (mission 4 i think) and on it feels like the creators loses their creativity and imagination and i ended up playing something that reminded me of a new neat looking version of the first MGS. A little disappointing.

Also, the story started out great, but soon got deep, very VERY deep. We're talking beyond Final Fantasy here. Mostly because the story centers around the 3 former games, and if you haven't played all the games or just can't remember the story behind each one of them you're just screwed. Just like i was. I quickly decided to stop figuring out the meaning of it all and just played the game, or else i would've been playing with a huge headache.

But the worst part about the story was all the loving they managed to squeez in allover. Even the smallest characters had to have some kind of relationship going on with somebody. It was gross and didn't fit in at all in this game and story. We just don't need that kind of crap in a macho game such as MGS.

And then there was the voice of Solid Snake. It bothered med instantly. I'm sure they wanted him to sound like a badass Snake Plissken grandpa, but he sounded more like someone choking on his own vomit.

But when a gameplay is as good as this you can forgive a lot. ;)

I have all of the MGS games, minus the Ac!d ones. And I played them enough to remember the story from them.

That game, and Resistance would be the only games I would buy a PS3 for. The question for me though, is are two games worth it? :(

I'll be able to get that on 360.

So far, Resistance and MGS4 are the only two exclusive games I've seen/heard about that are any good.

And if I can get the game on 360, I will so I can get the GS points.
