I admit to thwacking my children across the butt..
they are welcomed everywhere we went ..well mannered
..well behaved.
In comparison to my nieces and nephews spoilt brats who used to come to my house and destroy it..back answer thier parents to the point of cussing.
I don't see how parents find a 2 yr old telling them to go 'get fucked' amusing
I am not afraid to discipline other ppls kids in my home..
i di not lay a finger on them..i just give them that ..

However:
i was never smacked as child and was spoilt beyond belief and i turned out
alright.
When i did decide at a ripe old age of 14 that i have had enough of miss goody 2 shoes and started acting up..
i wasn't even given a warning..
my brother whopped my ass and put me in a girls boarding school. :o

My Mom used to use my Dad's wooden fraternity paddle on me. Once, when I knew I was going to get it, I put canning lids in my pants and then put rocks on the outside of the lids in my back pockets. When my mom swatted me, oh boy . . . I really don't remember what happend much after that . . .

I don't have kids, but I don't believe that striking them in any way is acceptable. I don't want to get into a debate about it, but I noticed that it was being talked about on the last page so I said what I thought. There are two different schools of thought and I belong to the one against physical violence on children for disciplinary purposes.

Then don't fucking comment on shit you do not know about.

There is a difference between striking them and lightly smacking.
Wait untill you have children and see if your view remains the same.
I am against the physical side of beating the shit out of them..
In fact I have personally intervened in such matters many times..

I was raised in a family that stressed love and tolerance. I consider myself very lucky for that. I have a great relationship with my parents and I was always a good kid. When I have children, I intend to raise them the same way.

I too was raised in such a family..except for one drama in my life that turned my whole world upside down..BUT...as soon as it was discovered..i was wrapped in cotton wool for the rest of my growing life.
I have found that every now and then that my children needed to be disciplined with a light spank to the bottom when time out and taking thier toys away didnt work.
It snapped them out pretty fast..

i think it was a shock for them that i actually did do this to them.
note: I have only had to ever spank them once or 2wice.
My mouth is scary enough once they got me pissed off
