What in the heck is a Bible snake. Is that a real kind of snake, like a robot snake? Or is it a mutant like a fishlizard, something that looks different from a snake

Do you actually see it? Can they be viewed, you know, regularly, on a regular basis like normal snakes can be

Or do you have to like, see it at a special appearance like a concert

If you view an animal as a phallic symbol then I'd have to assume you just want to fuck animals.

The story of Adam and Eve (if you want to look at it in depth), states that the 'snake' didn't start out as a snake...It was described as multi-colored and beautiful, with an enchanting voice, 4 legs and a tail, more like a large lizard than a snake...So beautiful that Eve trusted it, and that was why she did what it said...AFTER it led Eve astray it was punished by God...It was told that it would no longer be beautiful, that it would be feared instead of trusted, and that it would be forced to 'crawl on its belly' forever after...It was at that point that it lost its legs, and its voice, and became a snake...That's also supposed to explain why many people have a natural, inherent fear of snakes, even if they have never been hurt by one, or even come in contact with one...


So...Does that mean that God thought the snake was just being a dick when he did what he did?...:D

So then...How were people expected to "be fruitful and multiply"?...They were punished for doing what they were TOLD to do, and what they HAD to do in order to procreate?


What kind of sadistic trick is THAT?

Some people are simply so repressed that the act of reproduction is a sin no matter what the context. Honsetly, the snake and the kraken, they can be phallic symbols IF that's what you're looking for and that's what you want them to be. Where xperiment sees a phallic symbol I see a cool monster put onto the silver screen and based on Scandinavian lore.

How is shoving a fork up my ass, your ass, or anybody's ass supposed to help with the identification of a "devil's advocate". This thread didn't need one anyway, it was a request for a pic from a movie. Ah well, fork or no fork, at least I can tell if somebody's an ass.

If you want exactly 800 x 600 pixels the picture have to be cut...

if you want to keep the same picture only bigger it has to be either

800 x 339 ...or ......1414 x 600 ...no problem to cut it down to 800 x 600 though...but of course you loose some of the picture

I don't have it yet, and I can't find a larger one either. If anyone would like to help instead of arguing of forks and penises and repression, it'd be appreciated.

I tried that but didn't like the black... maybe Posher has an idea for a background pic??? I cloned in some water and surrounded the ship in water but the fact that the scene doesn't contain the WHOLE ship and Kraken made it look a little wonky.

Actually, there are several different versions of 'THE' bible...Some were altered through the ages by different religions/churches with the excuse of 'translation/interpretation'...But, the original story (and most children's bibles that are supposed to explain things in 'a way that even a child can understand') say that it happened the way of the snake as punishment thing, and it doesn't actually say 'snake', it says 'serpent'

The King James version (the only one originally accepted by the church of England, and may still be the only one considered acceptable to this day...I'm not sure about that) is quite a bit different from the original 'unabridged' addition...The excuse at the time of the King James printing was that the original was 'too difficult for the average person to comprehend' in its full context, making it difficult for the average person to 'receive its message'...The 'changes' were supposed to make it easier to understand...However, some things actually say the OPPOSITE of what the original says...It is speculated that it was no accident that it happened that way...Hmm

BTW...The Catholic church boldly states that the bible is 'not to be taken literally, and is subject to interpretation'...Which allows them the chance to explain why it's okay for people to worship and pray to Mary (a human), even though the bible (EVERY version), clearly states that you should 'Have no other Gods before me', and you are ONLY supposed to worship God...No other deities, and certainly no PEOPLE

I like the big one even though its wonky. I wish i could just find one that works for me. (I'm OCD) its hard to find perfect pictures for wallpapers. The black doesn't work with me, as... ocd, and I want it to take up the whole screen. It doesn't necessarily have to be that picture, just kraken+ship=destruction kind. No drawings.
