I really liked 28 days later. I am looking forward to this new one.
This should rock.

I am waiting for DVD, as I usually do, but I am looking forward to seeing this. I loved the first one, thought it was a very solid, intelligent horror film with strong characters (rare in horror films lately.......most are so annoying I am just waiting for them to die as painfully as possible) and it is a part of my collection. I do believe the sequel is unnecessary, the first one ended it well enough, but it may still be a decent follow up. :)

Yeah, I too am wondering how they will start 28 Weeks...will they keep the characters from Days? Or just start out with completely new places and people? What element will give this one the 'teeth' that the first one had?
I don't think I have been this excited about a sequel coming out since...well, maybe never.

I want to see this in the theater but odds are against it...I wonder if I Save @ Netflix if it will give me an actual date?:D
I saved Moby Dick with Patrick Stewart last year and it still says Unknown:p

28 Weeks Later does the seemingly impossible and out thrills and entertains it's already good predecessor...It suffers from some flaws in it's writing, and some contrived plotting, but it handles the horror and visceral thrills so well and so unpredictably that these flaws are easily over looked...

Not a fan of the overly hand-held, kenetic camera work but oddly enough I could stiill manage to see everything that was going on...

The problem with the writing is that unlike the first film which really felt like it was telling a story, this one feels more like it's using story to push the action forward as means to an end...It's inciting incident and then chase sequence after chase sequence...Which is fine because this movie is intense as hell...

I won't get into the plot contrivances specifically, but would it kill writers to NOT have people separate for no good reason?

So while 28 Days Later has a better story overall, 28 Weeks Later has more thrills, gore, and intensity...Which is fine by me.

9/10

All said much better than what I am about to attempt lol.

After being really excited to see this film I was in no way disappointed, it was possibly better than I even dared to hope.

I found the plot interesting and intense.

The gore and brutality excellent with some amazing scenes.

It was fast paced, edge of your seat stuff, with thrills and shocks to trow you back into your seat.

Lots of excitement, passion and blood.

Another 9/10 from me.

I definitely agree with both of you. In my honest opinion it delivered what I wanted it to. It was intense, it was exciting and it was fun. I think it was better then 28 Days Later. A must see in my eyes.

9/10
