Cool thanks again.

Has anyone seen "The Host"?
Seen an ad for it on the link for Zombies Halloween script review.
Think it was out late last year.
Some comments from papers sounding like this, best monster movie and on par with jaws.
After watching the trailer I highly doubt that but it does look like an entertaining film.

Seen it.

Nowhere near Jaws. More like a better rendered Godzilla with silly over-the-top family shit. Slow, uneven and too much like bad Speilberg, not enough like the good Speilberg.

Yea without seeing the film I kinda thought that was the way it was gonna go. Is it even worth watching for the comedy value?

I loved Orca when I was little...I haven't seen it in YEARS, I'm not sure how I'd feel about it now...

I haven't seen (or heard of) the other 2

Orca holds up pretty well.

Vodstok 02-02-2007 05:38 AM

I'm gonna go ahead and buy it...That's just one of many that I haven't thought about in a really long time

But I DO remember talking about it a LOT, telling all my friends about it, when I was younger

The part that I still remember most (without giving anything away) was the part about the killer whale's baby...and the boat...That was very said to me...It was like the killer whale was crying...

a mccuaig 02-02-2007 11:55 AM

Orca was pretty funny, they should have Jaw vs. Ocra. It would be stupid, but I would watch it. It should star Christopher Walkin and Bette Milder.

Alligator... I mean COME ON!!!! Alligator fucking roxxxxxx!!!!!! Crabapple even did someshit on the 2nd one, and that one is fun too, although not quite as sweet as the first one. Radioctive poodles need recognition folks.

that is one of the only movies my ex GF bought in the three years we dated, possibly the only one. unnerving shit to be honest.

ManchestrMorgue 02-03-2007 03:17 AM

What about Tintorera?

I remember seeing this one at the movies when I was quite young.

If I recall correctly, it was a Jaws cash-in about tiger sharks.

Woohoo! Hell Comes to Frogtown! Piper is the man. I was watching Carpenter talk a little about They Live and how the rowdy one came to him with a list of one-liners (including the famous bubblegum quote) for him to use during the movie.
