I read the script review also. Dont forget that that is one persons opinion, they have probably focused on the bad points and its just a script once the film comes together you never know they might pull it off. However I do understand that the script review does not fill us with confidence. Just dont make anything official til you are certain you might regret it :) |

I think that we just have to wait and see. Zombie's other films to me (House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects) felt a little overbearing for first films. I hope he does not introduce too much gore into the series. I think most horror films today rely too much on gore to scare their audience's, which is why the original Halloween was so great in the first place. It played off people emotions and got down to their nerves. It always kept you thinking, while horror today keeps you thinking, when is the next bloody scene? Hopefully Zombie will do something great with this project. I'm pretty confident he can take the series to another level, especially since Carpenter has given him his blessing.

Ok, this is totally going to sound noob-worthy.....but do we have an official release on this yet? Is it going to be Halloween or earlier? kthxbye

Boo on that, I'd rather they didn't rush it and make me wait til October 31 for the Remake. I'm still praying that that script is bullshist. |
|
Well,Michael looks as he should, thats the first tick in the right box.
|
nooooooo
he's going to trash what was/is a magical movie..magical in that JC was a genius then. there were some truly terrifying shots in that movie w/ michael in the closet, stalking across the street to get laurie. you cannot recreate those. the perfect lighting when it's dark and slowly you see mike's face come out from the shadows. the perfectly haunting music that still scares me to this day and of course DONALD PLEASANCE who's conviction sold the movie. he made you believe micheal was truly evil. i loved him! and w/o him there is no halloween. my heart will break when i see the way zombie has botched yet another movie but WHY THE IMMORTAL CLASSIC?! why? some things need to be left alone, remain untouched. there's nothing he could add to the movie itself or it's franchise. halloween h20 was lack lustre to say the least, resurrection was pure trash. there goes hollywood again----no integrity. all they see are dollar signs! in essence, the movie will FUCKING SUCK!!!
|
Heck, I'll see it. I wanna see what they do with it.
|
they couldve casted Dakota Fanning as the young Michael Myers and I wouldn't tell the difference between her and Daeg Fraech.:p

Bullshit. I see this argument over and over and it's complete bullshit. There is nothing this movie can do to diminish the greatness of its predecessor. It isn't as though Rob Zombie is cutting Carpenter's original master. The Original is and will always be a great film - no one can change or harm that. You don't like it, don't go. If you're sick of this kind of remake COME UP WITH SOMETHING BETTER! |

I'm not impressed with the adult Myers look. Gives off a TCM remake vibe. My interest has dropped a few notches, but I'll go see it anyways to see what Zombie was able to do with it. |
