urgeok 11-27-2006 10:38 AM

my mistake ..

being afraid of 1e bunny is rediculous - but i can understand 3 being a bit of a problem..

I tried Lamb once hated it. It was necessarily scarey but I am not a huge fan of meat but it is the one thing I have actually spit out.

I tried a stuff oyster at a fab restaurant in NYC once, it looked so good -it must have been a bad one or something because it had the must pungent taste ever and I would have spit it out if I wasn't at a business meeting.

Liver Pate was ok but I put too much on my bread at first, after I heard what it was I was abit skeptically but it wasn't that bad, it just made me scared to eat it.

Sweet Bread, OH My, it looked so good and I had no idea what it was so I tried it YUCK!!! And that was scarey! If it was made with real meat instead of random parts like liver, kidney ect it would be good I think.

oooo... havarti....

I have a weird aversion to pate, but i love braunschweiger (AKA: Liverwurst), which is essentialy german liver pate... I am complex and aromatic, like a coffee or fine wine.

i love liverwurst too ..

pate and wurst are pretty different ... one being more course than the other ..

sadly - high in fat - the both of them.

Vodstok 11-27-2006 11:56 AM

You don't like the sweet bread though?

Has anyone else ever had that? Like it?

Yeah I've had it, not a big fan of pancreas or thymus.

But my goal is to firmly establish myself as the top of the food chain by eating all of god's creatures.

Zero 11-27-2006 01:08 PM

i ate horse once when in france. . . it wasn't bad, but i felt really guilty eating it

Nikkif8 11-27-2006 01:12 PM

I am not a picky eater at all I just have a hard time when it comes to meat. I love most all seafood though. Something about meat just grosses me out. But I do like meat on occassion especially grilled. It just puts me over the egde to eat organs and what to me is wierd, wierder then eating muscle I guess
The pate really wasn't bad at all and I am sure I would love other kinds of pate. It's funny the things people like or not, like I love olives to death I can just sit and eat jars of them, my spuse hates them and gets so grossed out. But he will eat moose burger and karaboo and all kinds of meat I will not. Veggie girl here.

the_real_linda 11-27-2006 01:14 PM

dunno.....im not gross....erm my then best friend chewing gum????

Zero 11-27-2006 01:24 PM

I used to like eating rabbit, and rabbit chilli sounds great. I don't mean yo be insecetive, nut it does sound tasty.

I remember eating rabit years and years ago when I was a kid. Don't remember what it tastes like tho.

That's another thing I used to love, Sometimes I got to think about going back to eating the meat!

I ate a piece of chicken in my dream last night.

Well, that's your problem right there. You shouldn't have bought a mall rabbit. Those things are vicious....usually only a thin coating of cloth over a big Italian guy with an attitude. Usually to keep a mall rabbit happy, you need to keep a good supply of cocaine and hookers in his pen. If you were feeding him pellets and water, it's no wonder he kicked your butt.
This is why you should read up on your breeds before buying, people.

:p

I love chicken liver, it's not scary though. I did eat a nightcrawler when i was drunk,i got five bucks to do it.

...The famous comedian?:D

I've had rabbit during the time I've been doing my course. It's relatively cheap, and IMO quite alright...I mean, I'm not going to not eat it on account of what it looked like when it was alive...anyways, it was cooked with prunes, garlic, and sherry, constantly basted. When it was roasted, it was very nice...

Phalanx 11-27-2006 06:46 PM

He scared you off? I'd have told him that with a face like that, I'm surprised he's got the stupid grin stuck on it...
Taco Bell....it was here for a while, but I think it fucked off now...I only ever went there once or twice, and it was just SO bad...not alltogether bad tasting (I maintain, their "fire" sauce is good...that's about all), but alltogether way too cheap and generic tasting, and the texture, it was like eating mush.
Not a place I can ever imagine frequenting.

Phalanx 11-27-2006 06:51 PM

Yeah, I know...that shit was like paste.

Disease 11-27-2006 07:38 PM

I remember when the one opened on George st in Sydney, I never went, I've had enough bad taco's.

WTF?

Never eat there again - yuk!

As for scary foods - Rocky Mountian Oysters & Lamb Fries

I think it's only with the really oily fish.

This other sushi chef got me to try sushi after that incident and he guaranteed it would not be salty. Spicy scallops, so good... I really drove home thow much I loved it and how amazing it was etc. (I know how to get food from chefs)

So I ended up with a nice big plate of free sushi brought to me every shift. :D
