Despare 11-23-2006 06:50 AM

Sorry, your font sucks. (That's 3)

LadyFrost 11-23-2006 06:52 AM

Despare...the fonts already been changed...i realized how hard it was to read...so i was kind enough to change it...

xXLadyFrostXx

Despare 11-23-2006 08:18 AM

Excellent, I'd hate to skip reading your posts just because of the font.

LadyFrost 11-23-2006 08:19 AM

lol yea thats why i changed it...i didnt realize people were skipping my posts...i dont want that too happen, i want people to actually read my posts

xXLadyFrostXx

PR3SSUR3 11-23-2006 08:23 AM

No-one will ever read your posts unless you are ever so kind enough to change the font again to this standard one.

It'll be like being on ignore.

LadyFrost 11-23-2006 08:25 AM

so this font is still bad then....i dont like using the standard...its standard

but if i have to i guess i will then

xXLadyFrostXx

PR3SSUR3 11-23-2006 08:38 AM

There are other ways to stand out from the ground, dear Lady.

;)

LadyFrost 11-23-2006 08:41 AM

ah yes but none so fun and captivating as a fancy, elegant font, but if you wish for me to be plane and disolve into the background then i shale by going 'standard' with my font.

xXLadyFrostXx

tic 11-23-2006 08:45 AM

I think your 'font' is actually easier to read than the "standard" one, if you like it keep it.

*If people are ignoring your posts, they wouldn't take the time to post in the first place.*

PR3SSUR3 11-23-2006 08:47 AM

Why don't you put numb3rs in your name instead - it's c00L.

that is quite true...and dont worry no matter how many people post that my font sucks im not going standard...it is my choice to post in this...i only changed from Century Gothic to Palantino Linotype becuase it was harder to read the Century Gothic i had to admit that.

because i like my name the way it is...i dont like adding numbers. it doesnt suit me.

Enough talk about fonts, eh?

Anyhoo, I'm not afraid to say that I like my horror movies nice and hard-edged. I've never been a big fan of PG-13 horror flicks. Subtle horror just isn't done right terribly often IMO. Carnival of Souls is a great example of how its done. If only someone would do that kinda thing nowadays........

LadyFrost 11-26-2006 03:43 AM

Carnival of Souls? i've never heard of that movie, but it sounds interesting. is it an easy movie to find? cause if it is ill go and rent it and then let you know if i like the 'subtle' kind of horror your talking about because at the moment im trying think of a suggestion that i can relate to.

like what kind of other movies are 'subtle' horror?

The Haunting and The Changeling are two great examples of subtle horror. Carnival of Souls is a good one too, by the way.

LadyFrost 11-26-2006 06:38 AM

now The Haunting...thats the one about the haunted house...are two of the main characters lesbian? cause i've had friends talk about The Haunting but it hasnt been the same one that i've seen just wanted to make sure i knew which one you were talking about?

Touted as Bev Hlls 90210 Meets HORROR...I actually liked SCREAM one...didn't care for I KNOW WHAT......but I think the actors were sort of a turn off for me in that one...Nothing wrong with those, I consider them to be good slasher flicks...heck, all of us ahve a movie (or 10) that we really think rocks and this forum would tear us a new one about how crappy it is..be proud of your favorites and check out the top 100...get Netflix or B-buster online and have em coming your way!

"I Know What..." has gone way downhill since the first movie, the third one really stinks! but you're right everyone has their own opinion of whats the best and worst horror movie.

By the way, your quote...thats from Blade Trinity isnt it? doesnt King say that about Danica? Or am i wrong?

Not exactly. It's implied that Theo is a lesbian, but they never come right out and say it. But yes, that's probably the one you were thinking of.

Oh, and for the love of god, get the original, NOT the remake!

hmmm then i am afriad to say this but i've probably seen the remake not the original...how old is the original?

cause i think i've seen the remake as they flat out told you the girls are lesbians...the one i've seen there's a blonde guy in it but i cant remember his name....i want to say owen wilson but i know it cant be him...

xXLadyFrostXx

LadyFrost 11-26-2006 08:07 AM

and yet it is Owen Wilson...just googled it lol...im an idiot!

Roderick Usher 11-26-2006 08:13 AM

The original Haunting is one of the best horror flicks of all time and the BEST haunted house movie ever.

It's black & white, but don't let that scare you away. You owe it to yourself to watch it...at night...with all the lights out:D

dont worry im a black and white fan...its so artistic and ol school i love it...especially when they use it in new movies...such as Van Helsing i love how they did the opening scene with Frankansteins Monster all in black and white, it just gave it such effect.

xXLadyFrostXx

Roderick Usher 11-26-2006 08:23 AM

all right...don't reference Van Helsing ever again - please?

I feel like your head is in the right place, you've just been exposed to the wrong material. Go through the HDC 100 list and watch as many as possible. I can see your passion is there - now we just need to fill your head with the twisted beauties that most of us here hold dear.

Hey! Dont get between me and Van Helsing, ever! lol i do profess that i tend to lean towards the more box office pop movies...the ones that everyone likes and adores, but i do like some of the old stuff as well, the b grade movies and movies that absolutely no one likes. But in the interest of keeping the peace i will not mention the VH word/s again....

and how do i find this HDC 100 anyway?

xXLadyFrostXx

PS if you havent notice yet im a huge vampire fan, anything vampire whether it be good or terrible ill watch and love!

And that font is still far too distinctive and outrageous.

You'll never fit in here unless you change it and stop liking Van Helsing.

Never.

:( :( :(

LadyFrost 11-26-2006 08:44 AM

then i guess ill be an outcast for the rest of my life...people seem to like me no matter what font i use and what movies i like...so :p

I got a double sided DVD at a pawn shop with Carnival of Souls on one side and Night of the Living Dead on the other for $4. You should definatly try to find that somewhere. They're both great examples of pre-70's horror.

You can get the same deal at Wal-Mart for around $5.50, except it's on two seperate discs. It's a hell of a bargain for 2 quality movies.

Roderick Usher 11-26-2006 09:32 AM

We won't hate you for liking VH - just give you a lotta shit about it:)

The HDC 100 is at the top of the General Forum - read, view, enjoy

i just cant read it ...

Spec7ral 11-26-2006 10:40 AM

i stayed away from scream and last summer for years just due to the actors in it (my sisters watched party of five when i lived at home and that show made me sick. no one, i mean NO FUCKING ONE, let alone a whole family has that much shit luck.). When i finally watched scream i was actually pleasantly suprised that it didn't suck eggs. Last summer, however, sucked an 18 pack.

i guess you were too young to have ever seen The Waltons.

Haunted 11-26-2006 11:22 AM

Well, Lady Frost, I guess you've come to the right place.:)

I have my favorite horror films: The Exorcist and Night of the Living Dead. I may add The Ring, to some people's chagrin. If you do run into people who think that they're taste in horror is more profound than yours, ignore them. In theory, HDC is supposed to be a vast and dense population of horror fans, some old skool (as the saying goes) and some new. Just hang out, and be patient.;)
