Blockbuster sucks, I don't rent though I just buy...Ebay has been my best source of buying horror movies over the years, and you can find practically any movie you are looking for...

And to answer your question yes Evil Dead is awesome, a classic horror film and you have to watch it to get your honorary horror movie fan badge...

Argeed the whole series is good . I loved ARMY OF DARKNESS. Amazon is great .E-bay is another place to find killer hard to find movies to heck w/ bidding look at the buy it nows in the e-bay stores. You find some really decent prices alot of the time.

There was something that made me off for a couple of days (not horror) in Meet the Feebles.

I am pretty sure it was just that fucked up nasal sex scene, when he is blowing his nose all over the utters of the cow. Wow, messed up.

Ichi the Killer kinda disturbed me a little .Not because all the violence and gore
but because of those 2 gross close ups of big puddles of dripping semen. YYYEEEECCCKKKKK!!!!!!

My brother bought it at Tower when it first came out - and it was just $20.

So I want to see Begotten now. It's like a real-life Le Fin Absolue du Monde.

melaniepants 11-08-2006 01:51 PM

Evil Dead was so great...there was alot of nasty and creepy stuff in that movie

don't get too excited - the film is nearly impenetrable. The storyline is almost non-existant and there is no dialogue. It is a pretentious story told in a grainy, unfocused manner with long takes that make little or no sense.

It's sort of a tone poem that affects your psyche - it forces you to create the story. The terror all comes from how twisted and creative your own imagination can be. I loved it and feared it, but I can't think of more than 2 or 3 people here who would actually enjoy watching it.

That said- it fucked me up good.

just watched straw dogs. a friend bought it for me, probably only because it has a sticker on the box declaring "banned for 18 years". two questions; why was it banned? and; why was it called straw dogs?

Whats that movie about?

crabapple 11-16-2006 11:40 AM

It's about this nonviolent wimpy teacher guy who runs into some thugs who hurt him and his wife and he learns that kicking ass for the Lord is part of living too.
