I don't know if it's one of my favorite, but probley the scariest. This scene really scared the shit out of me for some reason, was in "Clown House". It's at the beginning of the film before the lunatics get their Outfits when the guy just pokes his head around the entrance of the Tent, and hurried up abd moved. Freaked me the hell out !

When Sam finds out about Michael in The Lost Boys 'It's not like getting a D in school, y'know!' The blood coming out of the photo album with the dodgy music in IT, ditto the plughole at Beverley's house "A naked American man stole my balloons!" (By the way, did anyone see the Lion bar advert a few years ago that totally ripped that scene?) Zombie bashing to 'Don't stop me noooooow' in Shaun Vein puppetry in NOES III....gahh makes my arms go funny! Oh, and pretty much every time Freddy makes a cheesy pun :D |

I guess with this thread title no spoiler warning is required...
so.. Return of the Living dead.. after an elaborate plan to kill the zombie in the freezer - that was specifically designed so that Clu Gallager would be safely hidden away and not involved in the action .... they open the door and the zombie runs in a bee-line straight to Clu Gallager... ibrilliant scene .. one of the funniest in any movie ever.. any of the scenes/dialogue between Karen, Gallager and Don Kalfa was pure gold. |

The Final minute leading up to the standoff in Aliens... Best tension build-up in history, with an incredibly satisfying release. Never loses it's impact Chestburster in Alien, cant be beat the zombie strolling into the moving helicopter blades in dawn of the dead '78 the girl casually tossing the recently severed foot in Audition, like it was toy she was bored with the Teacher's death in Final Destination. Not only the greatest Rube Goldberg death in history, but the bitch deserved it. Shelly Duval's frantic escape from the overlook, one of the scariest protracted scenes ever. "Lovely party, isnt it?" god damn.. still creeps me out every time... reagan's face changing the split second before she grabs the shrink's package in the Exorcist... Another one that always freaks me out Spoon's last line in Dog Soldiers... "I hope I give you the shits, you fucking wimp!" |
