...and then he'll wanna fuck Rob Zombie too?
:D ;) :p

I liked the first one, and thought H20 was ok. Gave the vote to the first because clearly it deserves it way more out of those two.
The rest of them bored the hell outta me.

Disease 09-14-2006 10:03 AM

is halloween what you call a joke?

The origanal, obviously, did this question even need to be asked?

MSCard 09-16-2006 11:57 AM

Halloween H2O

My favorite is H2O, I pretty much like them all too...

Rabid Child 10-06-2006 02:58 PM

It annoys me how everyone says Halloween 3 is so horribal. If It weren't for calling it Halloween 3 it still a great B-Movie i don't think of it as part of the series. Plus its better then Ressurrection

Oh And my favorite is the first one of course

mikel1021 10-07-2006 10:54 AM

halloween hands down

JP500 10-07-2006 12:29 PM

I Like H20 cause its Hillarious! its also the perfect ending to myers but Noooooo! they had the say it was cop in the same suit. Myers mask makes him look like he's 15 years old or younger. still better then ressurrection.

The music is the original John Carpenter score and the extras are great.

A must for any collector

This is the same one I own.

I rented one from blockbuster though, and it wasn't the same. But the sound was the original '78 sound, but the picture wasn't as good as the 25th Anniversary Edition.

The one I rented was this one:

You should get the 25th Anniversary Edition. It's a two disc set and has better picture quality than the one I posted the picture of. Although that one was a little more like going to the theater and seeing it for the first time.

I very, very rarely watch special features, I couldnt be bothered. Im perfectly happy with the quality of this version, I have no need to shell out another $30.

I rarely watch them as-well. I usually never do, but the fact that this is my favorite film of all time....I just can't pass it up. :D

I see where you're coming from...even though I already have the Legacy set + a VHS tape, I plan to buy the 75th Anniversary edition of Dracula ASAP.

crabapple 10-24-2006 08:25 AM

A little wacky bump for this thread.

urgeok 10-24-2006 08:28 AM

anyone come forth yet ?

(i had 3rd tied up)

SteveJ2006 10-24-2006 10:15 AM

Crabapple, as I mentioned in the other thread, I own the 2003 "25th Anniversary Edition" dvd of Halloween. Are you sure that this version also has the rerecorded music you speak of and not the original track? I'm still having a hard time noticing a difference.

And if so, do you know of a version that definitely has the original track so I could seek it out and compare it?

crabapple 10-24-2006 10:27 AM

Hey there, I have yet to see the 25th Anniversary edition, I probably will see this soon and will compare it. As far as the original music tracks, the Criterion edition of Halloween, on laserdisc, features the originals. That's for certain. Most of the EARLY video releases feature the original music.

The "newly created" musical score first came into existence--I think--around 1999 (I think it first showed up on a VHS box touting that Halloween was now "THX" and the box featured a morphing lens image of the Shape mask that changed into the slashing pumpkin graphic), and has been featured in all the rereleases I have seen since that time. So basically, any release that came out before that release, features the original music score because the redone version did not exist yet.

I know it's confusing. But it'll get cleared up as more people become aware of it. Here's an image of the release that introduced the "redone" THX mix:http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m...lloweenthx.jpg

Ballz Deep 11-03-2006 08:53 AM

Is there going to be another Halloween movie in the near future?

I watched these on TV when they were on for Halloween and was wondering if there was another one in the works yet and if so.... Who's directing it?

PhilnEdee 11-03-2006 09:00 AM

Rob Zombie is doing a remake (of sorts) of the original John Carpenter...search Rob Zombie Halloween.

Ballz Deep 11-03-2006 09:05 AM

Thanks, I use to post here but have been out of the loop for awhile.
I appreciate Your help.:)

PhilnEdee 11-03-2006 09:09 AM

JP500 11-03-2006 12:05 PM
