I am glad to see others enjoyed creep

tarcher80 07-12-2006 06:27 AM

no one mentioned any of the sorority house/slumber party massacres...

bwind22 07-12-2006 06:38 AM

Prison of the Dead & Hood of the Living Dead are both very bad too, but in the interest of full disclosure, Prison of the Dead makes Hood look like it should have won some awards.

Yeah, now that I think about it more I'd have to say that Prison of the Dead was THE worst horror movie I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot.

How is Dagon "pure crap", explain this to me. The actors are mostly very good, the story (despite straying from the source material) was excellent, and the atmosphere of the film really captured the feel of Lovecraft IMO. One of my all-time favourite horror films, I dont care what anyone says.

...I've got a strange feeling of deja-vu, and the actress that apears in Dagon was Raquel Meroño (I love my keyboard 'cause I can put "ñ").

Return calm down, it's a personal opinions, enjoy the film :D

Hey, Im perfectly calm. I, just interested in seeing what people dont like about Dagon.

EDIT- I can put "ñ" too:p

Plan 9 From Outer Space...the worst movie ever made...I know y'all think this a Sci Fi, but remember there are zombies and vampires in this flick...also the legendary Bela Lugosi, so I'd think it would qualify...pretty hard to top as the worst movie ever made.

tarcher80 07-12-2006 12:51 PM

i know some people consider it classic cheese horror, but monster dog has got to be up there w/ the worst... also some honorable mentions:

mosquito
saber tooth
shark attack (the entire series until now and the others that will undoubtedly come out)
the exorcism of emily rose
the blair witch project

joshaube 07-12-2006 01:09 PM

I liked both of these, and while you may not have they can NEVER be considered some of the worst. Maybe if you haven't seen much... just 'cause you don't like it doesn't mean it's the worst. Just think, TBWP was very original, and suceeded in fear. TEOER was a good courtoom drama, not exactly "horror".

the exorcism of emily rose
the blair witch project

Worst;
HOOD of the DEAD
DAY OF THE DEAD 2: Contagium

blair witch???? no way

filmmaker2 07-12-2006 01:48 PM

Ya know, I have to come to the defense of Blair Witch, at least personally, because it scared the heck out of me, really bad!

Now the SEQUEL to Blair Witch--Blair Witch 2 Book of Shadows--now THAT I hated quite a bit! I would vote for that as one of the very worst.

Hey!!! How could you?? Anyway,I dont like Dagon just 'cause: The comic momments are stupid and lose all the ambience. Two, Raquel Meroño-She is one of the worst actress of Spain (and of course of the planet) . The deep ones, man they suppouse to scare the audience ..... don't make them laugh. And turn Insmouth to Invoca was prety stupid, mouth on spanish means just...boca.... 'cause the story tooks place in a village of Galicia they had to change the name to something that looks like a spanis name but the dont ge it.

othewise if you like Dagon maybe you should play to "Cthulhu darkness corners of the earth" 'cause most of the game was bassed upon "The Shadow over Insmouth"

Tarcher made me think of Skeeter. I don't know if I've seen Mosquito, but unfortunately I've seen Skeeter. The pencil drawn mosquitos attacking in the nest is one of my favorite bad scenes ever.

Oh yes the second one is the one to stay away from!

The Mothman 07-12-2006 08:05 PM

i think that really awful movies have to be boring to be extremly bad, so i wouldnt put house of the dead on the list becasue even though it was terrible, it was extremely entertaining.

My thoughts exactly.

I actually enjoyed House of the Dead to some extent, and I dont even feel bad admiting it. Alone in the Dark was pure shit though...

although i'm sure the fact that i learned it was a hoax b/f i saw it dampened my opinion, i still thought it was poo. though, one man's trash is....

SKOOFx 07-13-2006 09:17 AM

Memorial Day Massacre is awesome in the worst way.

Killer caveman...

you read right..KILLER CAVEMAN...MAN!

bwind22 07-14-2006 01:51 AM

Has anyone seen RetarDead?

I have not, but it looks like a possible contender.

Angelakillsluts 07-14-2006 10:30 AM

...

probably return to cabin by the lake

I own it actually, it was a gift (cabin by the lake/return to cabin by the lake double feature DVD) :upset:

chucksees 07-15-2006 01:05 PM

In defense of Blair Witch Project...today's horror movies don't actually scare me, they'll give you a jolt or surprise you with loud or sudden action....but generally the last movie to really scare me (as an adult), was the original Blair Witch, mainly because it was what you don't see and the fact that it transpired in what could be an actual setting...not some legion of dead zombies tearing a man to shreds...that's just gore

alkytrio666 07-15-2006 03:43 PM

Most people want to hate The Blair Witch Project because it worked so damn well. Now that the hoax is over, people don't want to admit to it being so damn effective.

I think BWP was and is fucking brilliant.

roshiq 07-19-2006 02:40 AM

SCARE

Last month..I bought the dvd(!!!)....Damn!!... still I'm in a doubt that whether it's a telefilm or a real film for the theaters or something else(!!??!!).....>>>The story, making, acting....everything holds the rating of D .
