They're ADORABLE!

I couldn't possibly take pictures of all of them...Even if I COULD figure out how to use this new digicam, because we have WELL over a thousand movies, and I would have to take pictures in the livingroom, my bedroom, Seri's room, Alex's room, the basement, and other various places around the house...... When Seri moves out, we are turning her bedroom into a horror media room, with all of our horror movies, books, and games in it...That should help free up the rest of the house :)...All of the walls will be shelved, and we will list categories at the tops...Like foreign, Indie, etcetera... |

Just on several shelves in alphabetical order (maybe the shelves need dusting?)

As for the extras, some good some bad: Tombs of the BLind Dead: Alternate Opening Sequence "Revenge of the Planet Ape", funny as fuck how they tried to link this to the Planet of the Apes is beyond me! Trailer and poster stills gallery, with several stills that are not in the movie, so either shot for publicity or these are not truely uncut? They also make the films look slightly more pornographic than what they are so probably are publicity pictures to get the punters in. Return of the Evil Dead: Just a gallery and trailer The Ghost Galleon: A load of trailers and Radio spots and surprise surprise a poster/still gallery. Night of the Seagulls: Trailer and gallery again. Extra DVD of Amando De Ossorio. This has a Documentry and an interview with Amando and is pretty interesting. You also get an updated version of Nigel Burrels's little book "Knights of Terror". Quite informative and filled with stills and posters. Overall I reckon it is great value for money and if you like the Blind Dead it is a must have. If you haven't seen the films before I would try to rent a couple of them first as they are a bit slow paced and not to everyones taste. |
Ive been considering buying that set myself, but I really dont want to spend $70 on a blind-buy...

Ok, I took some pics. Dont be too surprised if they dont work so well, they never work for me.
If they do work, this one is Side 1 of my 4 sided rack. This is all horror, alphabetized. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...n/100_0728.jpg |
Ok, this here is Side #2. A few more horror, still in alphabetical order, followed by a couple mystery-ish movies that I didnt know where to put, followed by Sci-Fi, then Western, then Comedy, and then the start of action. Withing the genres, all titles are alphabetized.
http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...n/100_0731.jpg |
Finally, the partially full Side #3.
The rest of my Action movies, followed by Drama, then concerts, and last but not least a couple PS2 games. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...n/100_0732.jpg |
nice collection bro. I see some really cool movies in there. Gotta love the boxpacks. :D
I need one of those racks though. Right now my DVDs are just about everywhere. |

It was a bitch to put together, but totally worth it. Here's a pic of what I used to use. It was great, until I outgrew it. [Ignore my incrtedibly messy room:p] Note- Look in the corner/on the floor for various VHS tapes. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...n/100_0733.jpg When I used that, I had my boxsets on this. Now I use it for my Gamecube games: http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...n/100_0734.jpg |
you need a closet or a drawer for the VHSs (unless you still watch em from time to time). Cuz if Elvis sees that, he's gonna blow a fuse. :p
I see you got Zelda's Ocarina of Time. Great game, that one and Majora's Mask. Marvel's Nemesis, Cel Damage...nice games. |

Here's an ancient pic from when I had it like that (see those DVDs at the bottom? That was my whole collection at the time. Told you it was an ancient pic:p) http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...n/000_0041.jpg |
weehaw, that pic must be 50 yrs old! :p
I used to have my VHSes like that too, around the TV and on top of my VCR. But then it kept on growing and everytime I pulled one out from the bottom, 2-3 would fall down inevitably. Made me make a shelf for all of em. (btw...nice puppies!) ;) :D |

^^ Are they the Mezco Reservoir Dogs toys dude? They were a bit to cartoonish for me.... (I think there's some 12" ones also)they brought out a series of Warriors toys but the style sucked, the Furie figure looked pretty cool but the rest looked really dumb.
Shit I wasn't flippin' out about the storage of your vids guys, I just didn't wanna see em get fucked up :) ya know how heaps of people carved up their vinyl back in the day and let neglected rare titles turn to shit. The American VHS tapes suck anyways. Lightweight tapes that don't stand up to shit and lame carboard covers that aren't gonna protect it from anything. The Australasian clamshell packaged tapes are the ones to go for cause there heavy duty and the versions of the film are uncut unlike the UK stuff. Most of it is hard to find but its what I collect....especially the "Nasties". All my stash is still in boxes but I'll post a pic once I'm moved into my new pad.... there's even a couple of DVDs packed away in there to :D I think filmmaker (I'll have to scan my Neon Maniacs cover its WAY cooler than the US one) said its the new vinyl and its definatley true. A lot of my stuff is just better on VHS (cover artwork/soundtracks/the cut). People dissed out vinyl back in the day and heaps of really collectable stuff went for dirt cheap (that in five or six years time became worth its weight in gold), the same is happening for VHS. But yo.... its all just geek shit which is what all this threads about! Keep up with the pics guys cause its really cool to see the great and varied collections. |
Ummmm... bump.
