Ah, puberty. That be the girlie's problem for sure aiiiee. She be haven' the hormonal problems o' the sea! Tis a hard time to be sure!

Minda, go to the gynecologist, get your first exam, and get yourself some birth control pills to regulate your cycle and your hormones. You'll start feeling better after a few month.

I realize and many of the forum gals realize that this is a very extremely hard time in your life. Unfortunately, these forums are not the place to vent and bring your frustration. You need to talk to a counselor, your friends, or your parents for those type of discussions.

If you want to be a member of this forum, consider this a place where you can only be fun. It's a place where you are actually not even allowed to be unhappy. You follow?

As a matter of fact, if you do take into account that you can't be unhappy here, and thus can't post unhappy posts, you may actually find yourself a place off the beaten path that's all yours.

Also, I suggest reading Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. You'll find that HDC Forums are like the Mad Hatter's tea party, that you're invited to, but at which you are ABSOLUTELY ARE FORBIDDEN to be unhappy.

Look, I'm politely saying that if you're going to hang out on this forum, you should check your emotional baggage at the door. I once brought emotional baggage in here. It wasn't even a "I want attention" thread. It was an "I want someone to talk to me because I feel like shit" thread, which is close enough, but... Let's just say, that I was horse whipped by various and sundry members and was told never to do that again. So I didn't, and I haven't.

So, it is important for people to know that when they come to HDC, that they should leave all emotional crap in the head, some where else, because everyone here has their own stuff to deal with and no body is getting paid to deal with other people's junk.

I'm just polite about it.:D

I don't see a problem with posting anything about feeling bad, some people here MAY have insight and might actually help (although talking about it with somebody there with you is better). I just don't think we like it when people actually ask for attention.

You know, if I want my ego stroked, I go hang out with my cat, Irish. He is one mean son of a whore. That cat hates everyone, except me. When he's hanging out with me he gives me those kitty head bumps that are supposed to be a cat's way of giving you acceptace, and he purrs a lot.

If a cat, let alone a cat who is a fiend from hell, hangs out with you because he wants to hang out with you, that's pretty cool.

I mean, people are going to judge you on all sorts of crazy shit, but animals- your pets- are going to love you if you look like shit, smell like shit, are in a bad mood, have a habit of picking your nose, or whatever gross trait that might put off another human being.

So, I guess I'm saying to those folks who want constant attention: Get yourself a dog, and raise her or him well with lots of love. Get yourself a cat and raise her or him well with lots of love. That way, you'll have some one paying attention to you all the time...except the cat, but they won't judge you so much.

hmm so you are 16 minda...I was 16 once, 6 years back...and back then I wasnt on the comp at all. I was busy with life, and studies and friends and parties and the usual shiznit. Now that I have graduated, I have some time to be on HDC.

From me to you, a piece of advice...most people on HDC are real friendly, but guess what? even the oldest members of HDC dont know much about each other's personal goings-on cept maybe their names and their family's names, and locations, thats it.

Its a place which was created as a forum of HORROR.COM (read the sign when you come in?) ergo, you talk about the genre of horror, you criticise it, you bash it, you shit over it, you put your two cents about any and every discussion in it, EXCEPT bring your personal shit in it.

I personally dont give a rat's ass about personal melodramas, cuz I got my own personal puzzles to solve, and life to live. At most I can be polite or sympathetic or concerned, and thats extremely rare. For the simple fact that this is a comp screen I am typing into, and I am talking to other people who are leading tough and difficult lives like me.

Life isnt a bed of roses for any of us, but we put it all behind us and come on here to divert our minds from the usual humdrum of daily lives, and immerse it into something which will give us some moments of rest and relaxation.

You wanna know what shitty means? Take a trip to Iraq and see our soldiers there...you ll know exactly what I mean...closer home, just visit those families who lost their near and dear in 9/11, people who lost their only sons and daughters, teens who lost their Dads or Moms or both...

But "Every cloud has a silver lining"...and this has proved to be a silver lining, our very own HDC, at least for me it has...

I hope I made some sense, if not then sorry guys...

You know, I tried to say that very thing, but I just wasn't as provocative as you were V. Very well said. Kudos!

Poppa I know
There's a frog on my toe,
Maybe I'll call him Jethro
Maybe I'll gro up to be
A wife as good as he
And maybe I'll be back
As soon as you're long gone

Poppa I'm sure
The worms have eaten you now
And Jethro's been on some Frenchy's plate
Long ago
Now I'm pretty sure
That I've listened to every word
'Cause I still hear you telling me
Still

Slap them boys when they're naughty
Make 'em crawl
Make you horny
Make you a strong little girl
You paint them toes the reddest color
And you know one day
You're gonna be bigger than a flea
You're gonna be bigger than that old
Poison ivy trea.

And now I'm pretty sure
That I think you come and visit
And talk some times
Kinda like Gidget
A funny little like an Indian brave
'We all grew fat
When the white men came'

But one day, girl
You're going to lear to make the crawl
Make 'em grow tall
But have the grace
To be a lady with disgrace
And
You fry them taters and
You make them with ladies
Yes, I know you're my Poppy's
Baby.

Frog on my Toe- Tori Amos

I love this song seeing as how she and I are both Southern and both Cherokee. Also, the main part is about growing up a little differently from all the other girls, and having a different song in your head.
