Its already out at your local blockbuster, I havent seen it though, maybe I will pick it up on the way home tonite. I read the box and it looks like there is a lot of old footage on the vid. so I dont know if its a rehash of old times or something new.

."Full Moon returns to its cinematic roots with bigger budget features shot on 35mm. These will be directed by past collaborators such as founder CHARLES BAND (Trancers), TED NICOLAOU (Subspecies) and STUART GORDON who directed the award-winning Castle Freak. Hope this is true:)

Favourite Full Moon Movie

Full Moon has made some good, some bad and some truly ugly movies. Any favourites?

Mine would be Stuart Gordon's 'Castle Freak'. A wonderfully freaky direct to video gem.

sleepaway 02-03-2004 10:24 AM

Guys, forget this thread, just saw that there's another just like it! Just jumping the gun!

driller killer 02-04-2004 07:35 AM

Signs515 02-04-2004 06:27 PM

I think this thread is about Full Moon the movie company, but that's ok :). I think my favorite would have to be Demonic Toys, but that's just because I saw these movies so long ago and can't really remember anything else.

bloodrayne 02-04-2004 10:03 PM

Come on guys...What about "Subspecies" and the "Puppet Master" movies?

sleepaway 02-05-2004 03:27 AM

I think I'll be black listed for this but I have never seen any of the Subspecies movies! They just look bad and I've never heard anything good about any of them! But if I'm wrong please enlighten me! What's the best one?

Like most horror movies that become sequels, the first of each is the best...However, as sequels go, theirs aren't too bad...Actually, Subspecies 3 was pretty damned good...:)

driller killer 02-05-2004 08:36 AM

someone gave me a copy of subspecies 4 and to make a long story short, im not friends with them any more

Did Full Moon do 'Talisman' as that wasn't so bad!! I know it was a David Decoteau movie but can't recall exactly if it was FM. I'm gonna have to try Subspecies!!!

RynnJacobsBros 02-06-2004 04:10 AM

Hi.
I don't remember any of these movies... Can you talk me about them?

sleepaway 02-06-2004 04:39 AM

Full Moon are a company that make low budget straight to video horror movies. The most famous and long running being the Puppet Master and Subspecies movies. These films are made really cheaply and really quickly. A lot of them are made in Romania over like a 4 day shoot. Sometimes they get lucky and get a really good director involved like Stuart Gordon but he now seems to be more involved with Fear Factory, a new company doing the same as Full Moon but they are based in Spain. David Decoteau is a director who worked under Full Moon who now runs his own similar company called Rapid Heart again doing the same thing! Cheap straight to video movies that tend to have better cover art on the video sleeves than the production of the movie just so people will rent it! But there are some worth checking out.

From FANGORIA

Charles Band’s Full Moon Pictures has seemed fairly inactive for the last year or so, but that seems about to change. The company has just opened a new website which reports that a series of new films are being planned. No story details yet, but the site says that these features will be shot on bigger budgets and on 35mm, with Band, Stuart Gordon and Ted (SUBSPECIES) Nicolaou among the directors. The site also offers numerous past Full Moon flicks for sale on DVD, as well as a number of toys and the company’s two newest features: PUPPETMASTER: THE LEGACY and DR. MOREAU’S HOUSE OF PAIN. The latter, helmed by Band from a script by “Earl Kenton” (get it?), is billed as a sequel to H.G. Wells’ original novel, in which a young man tracks his brother, who was suffering from a rare blood disease, to the mansion of the titular mad scientist. The brother became one of the doc’s half-human, half-animal experiments, and our hero becomes one as well, ultimately leading the other “manimals” to revolt. You can check out trailers for MOREAU and LEGACY at the new site.

Check out The new FULL MOON WEBSITE HERE for trailers.

This is awesome news.
I love Full moon and I am happy they are getting back to doing what they do best.

Here's info on the New Puppet Master

The history of horror began when Andre Toulon, a benign toymaker, became the master of a group of killer puppets. It’s a tale of sorcery, death, resurrection and deadly revenge as told by Eric Weiss, a young boy who was once protected from Hitler’s SS by Toulon. Weiss, now a grown man, has spent his life trying to perfect Toulon’s secret of giving life to the inanimate. In comes Maclain, a rogue agent who wants to peddle the secret on the open market. Maclain breaks into Weiss’ lab, shoots and tortures him, but Weiss will not give up the secret. The tale unfolds, weaving new footage with flashbacks from previous Puppet master films as it becomes a battle of wills between Weiss and Maclain. The new puppet master remains defiant as the assassin moves in for the kill, unaware that Weiss has found the secret and Toulon’s puppets are ready to shed blood for their master again…

ozzyhaunted 02-09-2004 05:48 PM

I liked Subspecies and Vampire Journals the best ;)

I liked some of the puppet master ones

and have seen some others

Castle Freak
Talisman (didnt like it)
Terrorvision (i think that one is full moon) saw that one when i was little dont remember it too well.

and i saw most of the ones that were on the Full Moon Fright show

sleepaway 02-10-2004 06:33 AM

I also like Dolls - I guess it's not technically Full Moon but it was from Empire who became Full Moon and it was the inspiration for Puppetmaster. Dolls was supposed to be on DVD is Germany at least but I can't find it. Anyone any ideas or seen it anywhere on their travels?

ozzyhaunted 02-10-2004 03:23 PM

This place

http://www.sazuma.com/showdcd.php3?dcd_id=DRA-036

had Dolls on their page but says its' out of stock but they say they can order it for you. I've never used them though.

You'd need a player that can play PAL discs though.

I would have to say that I loved the "Puppet Master" series. I bought it as a box set & loved them all exept for "Curse of the Puppet Master." The end of that one was terrible.
