no one does. i listen to music my friends have in there car that i liked when they played it or by reconmendation or from something else. me i love 80's music alot one hit wonders and all but i also like other stuff but its not cuz of mtv. i will admit i did by boy bnad music at one time cuz i liked trl. i grew up and my music grew w/ me. i am not a trend follower i don't buy tings cuz its popular i am am the same by how i dress. one day it will b prepy and one day it will be another way. i listen to and where what i want cuz it makes me comfortable so i think being classified w/ the mtv junkies is unfair. i get where u guys r coming from. i hope u get waht i am trying to say about how i feel on music.

Oh, I remember thoughs artists from back in the day - the ones you can never believe you ever liked.....mine was Hanson - my first huge crush - I was 12. But i have grown and found music that speaks to me and my personallity.

I think he can't handle the fame. LOL

I love Evanescence. I think they're great. I listened to them just last night...

And I do hope you spelling Evanescence wrong, was just a typo. Because, I can't take you seriously if you can't even spell their name right, m'kay?

It just seems that way because of the lack of publicity a lot of bands get. In mainstream media they choose which bands they think will appeal to the consumer, usually based on sales numbers so a lot more worthy bands get overlooked. Generally all-girl/female vocalist bands don't appeal to the masses unless they're pop so very few get any publicity. Bands break up, it happens. Don't blame it on the women.

True, but when a girl fronts a rock/ pop band (i.e. No-doubt, Garbage, Evanescense) they tend to become the center of attention rather quickly, thus pissing of the other band members. It happens again and again. Im not saying this only happens when women are involved, there are plenty of male premadonnas in the music scene, but women seem to fall into this catagory more consistantly.

It worries me now, because the drummer in my new band is female.

Bah, no worries though, we can take it. Maybe I should go back on my word about the whole break up thing, even though it's kind of true.

And I don't care how Evanescense is spelled, judging by how shitty they are, it shouldn't matter either way.

I don't like Evanescence because they are popular, or because the lead singer is female. I think Amy Lee has an amazing voice, and I like their music. If male band members can't handle the fact that they have a more popular female singer, they they souldn't of been in the band in the first place. They need to swallow their pride, and think about their fans. I don't think Ben Moody left Evanescence because of Amy Lee's place in the band. It might've been their off-camera relationship. I heard they were once together. Anyway, I say think about the fans because I thought Ben Moody did alot for Evanescence. He played the guitar really well, and wrote some good songs for the band. He wrote their prettiest song "My Immortal".

Another reason I don't think Ben left because of Amy's place in the band, is because he's doing music with Avril Lavigne now. Who, is a woman.

ben moody was also orginially the guitarist for cold. Amy recently came on the evanescense messageboard and said some derogatory statement to that effect and then later apologized because cold fans were pissed off at her for it. LOL

If hes playin with avril now, he doesnt need to worry about a career anymore ;)

Ok, not a fan of this band in the first place but what on earth could prompt anyone to run off and play "music" with Avril Lavigne? I guess he just wanted to get back to his punk roots or something.

I did enjoy these guys for a bit when I first heard them, I guess there was something about Amy Lee that added to their sorta lame band... However after repeated listens I slowly grew tired of the annoying and repetative music. Most of their songs sound the same and it's pretty much just nu metal trash.

Well... Guess I'm going against the grain but I happen to be a Evanescene fan. I like their music, but do agree that their songs are overplayed. But I have the album Fallen and enjoy putting it on every now and then. And I am not ashamed... Okay, maybe a little.

JOKEWOOD is good or Castellar. hopefuly you have them as fonts and your computer. if you have Word then they will be in there so try them out and see if you like them or not
