Superjoint is horrible live, I didn't like them. So I'm not really inspired to buy anything of theirs.

hey, your calabrese website looks really good. I couldn't get the "listen" link to work though....
also, the Estrus thing is a great compliment (to me at least). I like most of the bands on that label and know many of them personally. plus Dave Crider who does the label is just a pretty totally dood. thanks! |
Hey im a horrorcore artist. i have an ep coming out in a couple of weeks thats gonna be given away for free on the net (original cover art and all). I also have a track on The Monthly Menstruation, a compilation disc put out by www.Faygoluvers.net and www.SerialKillas.net and i have some other hip things in the works.
Click Here For My Website at www.geocities.com/g2thamonee Click here for the track "S.U.I. Cyde" w/ N7 and Rags thats studio quality recording, im the middle rapper, 2nd part of the 2nd verse Click here to hear "Jaws" thats has a little worse quality sound, but i still had it up on the net |

Id be all about doin some shit with you man, just tell me what your lookin for, ill download it, and see what i can do. Im getting pretty good at emulating other styles. |
No problem, seriously with just using that stuff, it actually sounds like you have a band. Sounds really good. If you could fix the quality a tad, then it would sound just about perfect.
Ah well anyway. I checked out that band that posted a reply to my ad, and they're fucking great. Just imagine Arioch's music, but faster. Yeah, I think they're the key I need. But there's one more I wanna check out which I'll have to do over the weekend. |

Its frustrating tho, trying to find the right musicians for your specific project. Im sure you can relate. |

When I started my other band, a friend and I were doing it. He was playing bass, and I had lead guitar and backing vocals.(I was going to be the original vocalist, but I changed for some reason) Well it was harder than hell to find anyone that lived near me, because everyone that played the shit we needed I either hated, or they didn't like the music that I need. Eventually we found some really young kid at my school who had the exact same taste, and he was really good for being 15. Then he knew a singer, and we used him. Then I found a drummer months later. From there it went pretty good. We played at a lot of places. But then our bassist was getting lazy and didn't seem to want to do anything anymore, although he wouldn't admit it. Nobody but the singer and I were trying to keep the band together. So we played this huge show new years eve, and then after that I told them it's over. And they all agreed. Plus the music wasn't exactly what I was expecting it. I think it was what I expected when we first started playing, but eventually I started getting into more Death/Gore/grindcore metal. So there you have it. |

its for a metal song though, not to much into punk anymore. |
nice, honestly im much better at metal than i am at punk. The solid rhythm thing always tends to bore me. Im more into syncipated rhythms and riffs than solid chords for 8 bars ya know:rolleyes:
LOL punks so lame Flame me guys, come on, you know you wanna |

Hey, I'm new here, bla bla, read all about it in the New Member Lounge..
I've listened some of the mp3's posted in this thread, and I think longinus-neveragain_instro is the best one so far (out of the 6 songs I've downloaded). Arioch; what kind of equipment/progs did you use to record it? Here's my contribution: Catonium - Marching Into Metropolis Catonium - Morose Spirits I've got more stuff, if anyone is interested? |

a schecter s-1+ 6 string that i LOVE, a piece of shit (and i cant emphasize that enough) ibanez Soundgear bass, a Boss drummachine, i cant remember which one. Its alright. and a Roland XP-30 synthisizer. The only ones im really happy with are the recorder and the schecter:o
|
punk is infact easy on the guitar part, you just need a fast right hand to pick the strings
but the drum is hard to perform so fast, it's a typical high noted drumstyle nothing like metal my equipment is a BCRich warlock platinum and Peavy bandit 112 pro amp that's it, basic, hardcore metal playing shit maybe if our band gets somehwre Im gonna buy a pedal, but not just yet |
Arioch; the links should be working now.. :)
I mostly use software, and some hardware synths, drummachines & regular instruments, such as guitar & bass.. Mostly depending on what project I'm working with, and what we're aiming for. I've thought about getting a BCRich custum, but I've never had the chance to try them out.. mudsliptones; you're happy with your BC, eh? |
Quote:
but I love by BCRich, if metal is your thing, then this guitar owns and together with my peavy amp it cuts like a chainsaw |
I'm a fuckin fast ass motherfucker on the drums. I love playing. Especially when you can incorperate the double bass pedals.....I always say that you can never get enough DBP in a song.
As I Lay Dying has some crazy DBP action, that band has some crazy drumming. But since I don't have a drumset anymore, well I can't play it in a band. But usually I mess around with my bands drumset, I love playing. |

Nice shit tho, im gonna back track the thread and listen to the other 2 you posted. Think they are workin yet?? |

I just played around with my instruments & progs in that song, and didn't spend much time mixing it.. I just wanted to try out the drums, and that's why they're so loud compared to the rest of the instruments.. Hehe, yeah, ppl tend to mix their main-instrument louder than the other instruments.. The other songs should be up & working now too.. And don't expect them to sound the same, hehe... Do you have more songs online, btw? I've got "neveragain_instro", "noodle" & "soundtrack" so far.. Has anyone in here tried the Line6 Variax-guitars yet? I've heard they're totally amazing (the mp3's sure are), but I've never had the chance to try them out myself.. : |
