Yeah, iīm sure a large lynch mob of horror fans is out looking for me right now.:D The absolute worst in that movie was the constant screaming. Gave me a fucking headache and made my ears bleed. |

One of the few movies that genuinely terrified me as a child....I couldn't even watch it all the way through until I was in my late teens. |

I donīt know why, but movies about psychos and serial killers has never frightened me. It might had made me think about the human brain and capability once or twice, but never creeped me out. Only supernatural horror movies has and can still scare me. And thank god for that.:) |

So true.;) But let me explaine it like this. If a psycho one day should happen to stand in my doorway with a running chainsaw in his hand, i would be horrified for sure and run for my life. But if i saw a ghost, one night, come crawling around my closet, i think my heart would stop beating instantly. |

Oh wow.....my southern is showin'....:p |

How?? I think your fears are much more common than mine. I still fear the same things as i did when i was a child, even though i resently realised that killer movies is unpleasent to watch. It least youīve grown up.;) |
Quote:
I've grown up? Pfft....that is what scared me as a child...:p Actually, to tell the absolute truth a ghost creeping around would probably stop my heart as well. Poltergiest was another movie that scared the hell out of me when I was a kid. |
Quote:
I also thought "Poltergeist" was scary as hell when i was a child. The tree, the guy picking his face and the skeletons in the "pool". Those were the scary highlights for me. :) |

And yes, how could you forget the clown? I have never forgotten the clown...that is where my clown fear came from. I am still convinced clowns are evil....clowns and dentists....:D Okay, maybe dentists aren't evil....but they are kind of mean. Which, I am aware, has nothing to do with this discussion. I am always all over the place...lol. |

And on top of that they ainīt funny at all. |

Who knows if dentists are funny? You only associate them with pain. Coz the only thing you can hear, as soon as you enter a dentist clinic, is your own voice telling you "oh shit this is going to hurt... Pain, pain, pain, pain...etc.". Who can seriously remember what their dentist has said, except for the classics "This might hurt a little" & "remember to floss".;) |
Dogma!
Right on this one. I like Kev Smith films just fine, but this one was crap.
|

But my dentist always smells faintly of vodka....which certainly isn't funny when he is using the drill.... And his jokes are lame.... On the topic of Kevin Smith, I haven't seen Jersey Girl, nor do I have the desire to. And I am not a fan of Chasing Amy and others seem to really like it. |
One that I forgot to mention the first time around: Pearl Harbor. The movie itself is an offensive piece of crap, but what kills it is Affleck. Oh Affleck, how I loathe thee. He's a hateful, malignant troll and should never, ever be allowed within five hundred yards of a movie set.

movies that i hate, that people like( there are alot of them)
the ring thr ring2 ringu ringu 2 the grudge ju-on some times they come back some times they come back again house of 1000 corpses darkness boogyman napoleon dynamite elektra hulk batman batman returns batman and robin ray the day after tomarrow the passions of the christ finding nemo shrek shrek 2 shark tale the toxic avenger 2 the toxic avenger 3 shoulin soccor the notebook starski and hutch meet the fockers freddy got fingered jackass natrual born killers the stepford wives eyes wide shut the village elf anchorman tommynockers barber shop there are 40, alot of them are ones that critics and my friends said were good, that i hated for one reason or another. if you want to know why i'll tell you but i really dont care about your opinion cause i just dont like them. |
That's quite a list. :D
Some of them I haven't seen and some I am neutral on and some I like, but I will say this: Eyes Wide Shut was yet another huge disappointment to me. I had huge expectations for that one and in the end, it just seemed so pointless. It had great potential, and had several wonderful scenes, but it lacked something....like a plot...LOL...;) |
Pulp Fiction - I don't get the hype...am I missing something?
Underworld (I think that's the name?) - Boring, bad acting. Dirty Dancing - Again, I just don't get the fuss? Although, I'm not a big Patrick Swayzee fan, that could be part of me not getting it. Happy Gilmore - Hate it, hate it, hate it with a passion lol!(Almost anything and EVERYTHING with Adam Sandler). Legends of the Fall - OMG Brad Pitt is such a LAME actor. He is wooden, bland, lacking in range/depth, and just plain boring. I also hate that one he was in about the Dalai Lama (as a child, etc). Titanic - What a yawn fest lol. When the ship sank was the best part of the film. Watching Leo and Kate make out made my skin crawl. What an awful film, and sooooo much money to make it. |
Quote:
I agree with you on the first 3. Loved the last 2. Thought "Happy Gilmore" was hysterical.:) |
Quote:
By the comments in here i think we can safely state that "Pearl Harbor" isnīt a movie "that people love". |
Quote:
Have to agree with you on this one (EWS) I thought it was such an anti-climax film. All of the hype surrounding it...then seeing it and feeling disappointed. I'm sorry but Nicole Kidman cannot act (and I'm an aussie lol). She was awful in the movie, her love scenes with Tom were cold and passionless. I found the movie quite funny especially in the so-called dark/sombre scenes. I actually couldn't believe how bad it was. Vanilla Sky - Just plain bad! |
