Not saying I don't think she's a good acteress or anything....It actually made it hard to watch...IMO:)

I spent the a week complaining about that after I saw the movie. The part where she's in the car and she just keeps saying the same thing, louder and louder and LOUDER... soooo annoying.

LOL! No doubt man.....
it's was horrable!!!

Actually I OWN Cannibal Holocaust. I was referring to the discussion earlier in the thread about the "spider walk" scene in the Exorcist giving away that she is possessed, and since its an extra feature in the re release, it should have been left out because it leaves the mother's doubt later in the movie unfounded. and I was just saying that doesnt the head spin scene also do that? The Exorcist is indeed a tame movie. But then again so is Cannibal Holocaust, to me. (that rape scene is QUALITY right there)

Which one? From CH or Bad Lieutenant? I think there are a couple rapes in CH, one with a stick or something if I remember correctly.

And if that penis chopping scene in CH doesnt make you cringe, then I don't know... You don't value your dick enough, I guess.

Haunted 09-06-2005 05:45 AM

I don't do rape scenes myself.

Bwind- Sorry about the judgement comment. It's sometimes a little hard for me to tell inflection over these posts. Didn't mean to insinuate anything negative toward your being. I apologize.

No question about it... The savage getting his penis hacked off in Cannibal Holocaust takes the cake. I've seen it about four times and I could still swear it's not a prosthetic or prop! (ANyone know for sure?)

Real or not, that's the sickest fucking scene I've ever seen!

I think we've been here before, when that odd beardy chap lost his mind with Shanks.

Personally I think the cock-lopping in Cannibal Holocaust pales into insignificance compared to a similar scene in Cannibal Ferox, where the prosthetics are far more convincing and the agonising removal of the Johnson is enough to make even a lady wince.

Fair point about The Exorcist head-spinning, though I can't remember exactly where that pops up in the movie - the "spider-walk" just seems a little too far out, and tries the patience of the viewer struggling to suspend their disbelief.

See, I've never been able to get my hands on Ferox. I was having a hell of a time finding CH, but then stumbled upon a used VHS copy of it at Amoeba in LA and snatched it up. So I haven't seen Cannibal Ferox. (Damn rare expolitation films!) :(

You don't do them? Or you don't watch them? ;)

J/K I know what you meant. I don't enjoy them, but they do seem to be fairly frequent in the films I watch.

lol. No problem. (And no need to apologize for anything to me.)

Cannibal Holocaust and Ferox are both on Netflix.. So is Men Behind the Sun. Just as an FYI. You can also find stuff like Ichi the killer and Battle Royale there. And yes I am a netflix pimp.. its the best thing since Tivo.

Duly noted...I, personally feel exactly the same way...HOWEVER...Some members here DO get offended...That leads to fighting (usually in mutiple threads, for MANY pages) which most members do not wish to see, and causes the site to feel like a 'hostile' and 'uncomfortable' environment......It also causes many good members to leave........Those are the people that we are trying to look out for...Not the cold-hearted, apathetic bitches like you....and......me:D :p

Hmm... I have BR & BR2 (and Versus too.) Ichi is on IFC once and a while. I'm not really sure what Men Behind the Sun is as this is the first time I've ever heard of that one.

I'm not into Netflix for this reason... I get in the mood for a certain movie or a certain sort of movie and I don't wanna have to wait two days for it to show up in the mail. I'd much prefer to drive a mile to any one of the 3 video stores near my house and get what I want, when I want and then be able to go home and watch it while I'm still in the mood. With Netflix, I could be in the mood for something (Just say Wicker Man for example). I order it, wait a couple days for it to show up, and by the time it arrives I'm in a totally different zone and looking for a low budget slasher or something.

Although... It may be worth signing up for 1 month just to get Ferox. ..Out of curiousity, what are their penalties if you never send it back?

Also, whats this Men Behind the Sun you speak of?

Hold on, I'll try and find the link.

EXTR3MIST 09-08-2005 07:47 AM

Here it is:-

http://www.horror.com/forum/showthre...ight=holocaust

There are of course some real elements to Cannibal Holocaust, but only the animal killings and footage of third-world executions (the main film is acted with special effects).

Uncertainty about this sent one former member - who listed facial hair as a key attribute - into a rage against the whole forum.

:D

bloodrayne 09-08-2005 08:16 AM

ANY scene with Paris Hilton in it is difficult to watch....Since when did she BECOME an actress?....Someone should have mentioned to her that money can't buy talent:rolleyes:

romper_stomper 09-22-2005 03:24 PM

naked blood-self cannibalism scene,a chick eats her own nipple and clitoris then gouges her eye out with a fork and eats that

cannibal ferox-breasts impaled on steel hooks scene

last house on the left-phyliss getting disembowlled

cannibal holocaust-turtle mutilation scene

Yep, that is a tough one. And the pacing of the movie up to that point is so slow, it makes it that much more shocking.

I rented this after the forum kept talking about it and I wasn't disappointed. But the first part of the movie is almost like a sweet love story and THEN,jeeeeez...I admit,I hid my eyes.

Despare 09-22-2005 06:28 PM

I think the thing with the girl getting her legs burned was creepier than anything in the last 15 mins. of Audition but that's just me. I think I Spit On Your Grave had a lot of scenes that when I was younger and saw it was hard to watch like when that girl is raped for like the fourth time. The revenge she exacts too... ouch.

alkytrio666 09-22-2005 06:36 PM

I don't know if anyone's said this recently, but Last House on the Left has got some pretty disturbing scenes.

The whole idea of the plot's a little frightening to me. Those girls were so young...

piggwinn 09-23-2005 03:38 AM

A couple of scenes that make me wince are the chopstick rape in "Bunman"(The untold story) and also the killing of the children scene .
Another one I find hard to watch isn't from a horror film it is a scene involving Gene Hackman in Nic Roegs "Eurika" involving a blow torch. A very similar scene to that one from Fulci's "Contraband" involving the same said instrument, but seems more gruesome and effective in "Eurika".

Biomech Heart 09-23-2005 08:02 AM

Hmmm hardest scenes to watch...

Definately the turtle scene in Cannibal Holocaust(dont ask why its just that one scene, maybe the music)

The nipple slicing in Ichi the killer.

The hammer and teeth pulling in Old Boy

All of Last House on the Left.

Any of the Guinea Pig movies.

Zombee 09-23-2005 11:40 AM

The turtle scene in CH is brutal... so is the scene where the carve up that little hedgehog or whatever it was (the squeelin was unbearable)..

Biomech Heart 09-23-2005 11:44 AM

:::shivers::: ugggh

Getting chills just thinking about it.

I dont know what the penalty is for not returning a movie w Netflix..
Secondly if you have Netflix you can burn any movie you order and amass a huge collection.
Thirdly Men behind the Sun is ..Not my qoute

This is a "voyeuristic insight" into Japanese atrocities that they committed on the Chinese in World War II. They used the Chinese as "guinea pigs in gruesome experiments to create mutated plague bacteria used for bacterial warfare." They claim that the Japanese government wished that this story would not be known and that it will "provoke, anger and sicken." They also say that this film is a "chilling, realistic portrait showing the brutal torture and experimentation that took place in the Japanese terror camps."

piggwinn 09-24-2005 03:45 AM

Men Behind the Sun is very strong.
Don't watch it if you are a cat lover.
To give you an idea of how strong it is, the use real corpses in the movie and also perform a real autopsy on a young boy.
I have it in my collection but have only watched it once as I found it a very difficult film to sit through.

The Mothman 09-25-2005 05:43 AM

ALL the scenes in "The Flower Of Flesh And Blood" (Guniea Pig)

Cutting off limbs one by one. chizeling (Sp?) bones, gouging eyes with spoons, and then the dude PUTS THE EYE IN HIS MOUTH. my friend puked twice watching it.

also Devils Experiment (Guniea Pig) with the needle-through-the- side-of-the-head-then-through-the-eye scene. sick shit. hard to watch most definetly.

Biomech Heart 09-25-2005 07:24 PM

Those guinea pig movies are pretty hard to stomach.

Tis true-the autopsy of the boy is real (using a lookalike dead body of the live actor), some of the corpses seen in the incinerator are real, and also a real cat is killed by putting it in a room full of rats. All of which is about 1/100000000th as bad as what thase Dastardly Japs did in real life.(No offence Japs)

great thread...lets see....

cabin fever from after they got sick on. the shaving scene and the girl in the shed after her lips and eyelids are eaten away in particular...ugh

NOES 6..the deaf kid and the big q-tip..i almost hurled.
also #3, the puppet scene..that is oddly disturbing to watch.

the nail going through the finger in the ring (the tape part)

and, and this one isn't horror but the whole movie is disturbing, american history X. the curb stomp scene makes my stomach start rolling just thinking about it.

any thing involving teeth or the mouth, for that matter, makes me wanna lose my lunch.

oh yeah... the arrow throuth the eye in the first sleepaway camp (i think it was the first one)

The same with me i always start cringing a little when he says ' bite the kerb'. Also the torture scene in marathon man when he's drilling into the tooth. Not nice

Terrin_the_Vamp 10-19-2005 08:00 PM

I have to turn my head away when I watch Strangeland and the woman whose mouth is sewn shut screams. The string rips through her mouth. I think because my lip is pierced and due to an incident it was almost ripped out.

Elvis_Christ 10-19-2005 09:31 PM

What happened? (your accident?)

Terrin_the_Vamp 10-19-2005 09:38 PM

My mom's ex hit me and he was wearing a ring that for an instant got caught on my lip ring. Luckily it did not get stuck cause i'm sure he wouldve pulled it right out. It did tug on it and that hurt enough. He's in jail now though so its all good.

Elvis_Christ 10-19-2005 09:40 PM

That sucks dude  .....that guy sounds like a bit of a jerk.
