Anyone who has listened to Killer by Alice Copper-

When I goes instrumental towards the end, did that remind anyone else of Goblin's score for Suspiria? Or am I just strange?

That Kristofferson album is amazing. One of the first records I ever brought when I first started collecting them (for a grand total of 50c). Beat the Devil is one of my favorites by him aswell.
Have you heard The Silver Tongue Devil and I? Its another great album by him.

I like all of their stuff (Hotel Yorba is the cutest song ever:) ....). I dunno why, I liked this album when it came out and all, but I'm only just NOW getting really into it.

I wanna be like the squirrel dammit!

Great lyrics....I haven't been able to get this song outta my head lately.....Here, I'll sing it:)

*singy*
~You've got her in your pocket, and there's no way out, no. Put it in the safe and lock it, 'cause it's home sweet home. Nobody ever told you that it was the wrong way. To trick a woman, make her feel she did it her way. And you'll be there if she ever feels blue. And you'll be there when she finds someone new. What to do? Well you know, you keep her in your pocket, where there's no way out, now. Put it in the safe and lock it, 'cause it's home sweet home.
The smile on your face, made her think she had the right one. Then she thought she was sure, by the way you two could have fun. But now she might leave like she's threatened before. Grab hold of her fast, before her feet leave the floor, and she's out the door. Cause you want to keep her in your pocket, where there's no way out, no. Put it in the safe and lock it, 'cause it's home sweet home.
And in your own mind you know you're lucky just to know her. And in the begining all you wanted was to show her. But now you're scared, you think she's running away. You search in your hand, for something clever to say. Don't go away. Cause I want to keep you in my pocket, where there's no way out. Put it in the safe the lock it, cause it's home sweet home. Home sweet home.~

Nice, huh?

Elvis_Christ 08-19-2005 07:07 PM

That is nice :)

I always liked this one:

*clears throat* hmmmmrrrrhhh here goes ;)

My baby's got a heart of stone
can't you people just leave her alone
she never did nothing to hurt you
so just leave her alone

The motion of her tiny hands
and the quiver of her bones below
are the signs of a girl alone
and tell you everything
you need to know

I can't explain it
I feel it often
everytime I see her face
but the way you treat her
fills me with rage and I
want to tear apart the place

You try to tell her what to do
and all she does is stare at you
her stare is louder than your voice
because truth doesn't make a noise

Elvis_Christ 08-24-2005 05:03 PM

Thrashing the fuck outta this:

I don't really get into Talking Heads anymore. I used to watch the Stop Making Sense movie everyday as a kid. I guess years of hearing them has kinda killed it for me.

DAMAD

The 3Ds
http://www.netcd.co.nz/images/The%20...e%20Angels.jpg
Strange News From The Angels

^^Amazing (no defunct) band from my home town. One of the last really good Flying Nun (http://www.flyingnun.co.nz/) bands to come out.... pity about a lot of the shit they put out these days. They used to be a great indie label.
@ Deposable you'll fucking love these guys man check them out. Their ablum The Venus Trails is real cool aswell (especially for the song Spooky - -video- )

I just got into the talking heads this year. I love the whole late 70's New york scene. Just New York music was great back in the day.

You probably already know of them, but a great band I love is "Television".

Elvis_Christ 08-30-2005 06:45 PM

Hell yeh. Television are WAY cool. Do you like the Dead Boys? They were my favorite band for a very long time.

RavageRitual 08-30-2005 07:30 PM

Chiodos- Alls well that ends well

Yellow Jacket 08-30-2005 07:38 PM

Saliva- Every Six Seconds

I just bought it last weekend. It's pretty good (though I like Back Into Your System a little bit better.)

I haven't gotten around to the deadboys. I take a lot of time on one album, then when I get sick. I move to a new one. But for sure Dead boys are next, Then a Black Flag album. And then the last Fugazi album

Elvis_Christ 08-30-2005 10:50 PM

Their BEST:
http://images.windowsmedia.com/img/p...5992603829.jpg
WAY cooler than Never Mind The Bollocks.

I like this one the best for BF:
http://www.interpunk.com/itemimages2/94616.jpg
It has all the great shit they did with their singers before Rollins (including one of my favorite punk vocalists Keith Morris of Circle Jerks fame). Never really dug the Rollins fronted BF (prefered him in Rollins Band - especially the album Weight)...... kick ass 80s punk album.

Fugazi's last one? Was that The Arguement? I really dug a lot of the songs on that one. There's some great mellow numbers with really spaced out sounding riffs.
