Best game ever, Goldeneye for N64... I think every guy here played that game religiously for a year or two... or three.

Tough question here... Probably either Xenogears or Silent Hill. Maybe Disgaea, the only game I ever play anymore.

..I jumped over that consol...have played some games on it though...

Check out ebay...it's very cheap to revisit the N64 console at this point, excellent packages out there for VERY low prices.

As for computer games, i am a little (or more) old school...

the original dooms

Yeah, the original Doom is the best game ever. Also, American McGee's Alice is superb. Turn the sound up and lights off and get into it. Clive Barker's Undying is pretty great, and I really like Sierra's Phantasmagoria. The orignal Quake was good too.

Im glad to see someone else likes Quake 1... Did you play multiplayer, or just stick to the single player?

I personally adore the single player game and would actually like to see it get the Doom 3 treatment, or better still, the Black Mesa Source treatment.

i did that a bit for a while .. didnt care for it too much .. the guys who 'own' those things just sat in dark corners and blasted everyone who came down the hall.... somehow taking satisfaction in that ..... ?


i played single player all the way through both games - but eventually would go into god mode because i really didnt have that much time .. only a couple of days for each one ... i really just wanted to see what all of the environments looked like.

The original quake was actually a beautiful game in a dark way.


The second was great,but i didnt like that they deviated from the original plot. i thinkit was "quake 2" because id sucks at coming up with new names. They have made wolfenstein, doom and quake. Need a new game? grab an old name, attach a number, rinse, repeat.


Duke was one of the greatest games ever. It had more pop culture references than Quentin tarantino could dream of. I had the Plutonium pack, which had as many references as the original game, in one set of levels.

re quake .. yeah - thats what really turned me onto the game .. how great everything looked..you really got sucked down into the world and lived it .. sound effects were great too..


Duke nukem was a blast .. 1st game i ever really liked.
it was funny but it had some creepy moments too .. those pig creatures that would say things you could hear from a distance ... something about 'sucking your soul' or something like that - its been a while

in quake the zombies were the worst for me... the damn noise they made gave me chills.

absolutely ... it was really well done .. you hear them as you're going down that tunnel ... and i love that they wound you by pulling off their own flesh and chucking at at you ..

Now come on, you cant ban MGS3 just because its a new game. Its one of the greatest games I've ever played. And I've played games for a long time. Its in my top ten. Second of all, Resident Evil 4 should not even be considered in the Resident Evil series. It was a good game, but not a Resident Evil ( thanks for making a movie and ruining it hollywood).
