Ummm....kinda lame story...
I was six years old, and back in school. In our class, the former students of the previous year had done picture drawings of numbers 1-10 and hung them side by side along the roof, each of them having a different theme. Yknow standard kiddy shit, beaches, animals, space, candy...that kinda deal.

Number 4 was the space one...cool rocketships and stuff, stars, a crescent moon, a black hole - yeah...I was a kid, and I fucking loved that picture, every day in class I'd sit somewhere behind this picture and just not pay attention, stare at the picture instead thinking six y.o. space-type thoughts.
So, we've established that I liked this picture quite a lot then?

When I turned seven, by some childlike logic...I decided that maybe my favourite number should have a "birthday" of sorts too, so...from then on, I doubled it.
So, 8 was my new favourite number for a year.
Then it was 16 the next year at the age of eight, and when I turned nine, it became 32.

At some point when I was nine, I entered a school raffle of sorts, using my favourite number, 32...I can't remember exactly how it worked, but I was one of the winners.
I won matchbox cars and chocolate, spinning tops and the like, and coincidentally, among he prizes was a pack of glow in the dark "space" kinda shapes, yknow, stars, planets, moons and the like...it was fucking great.
Even as a kid, this seemed crazy coincidental...not to mention it was the first of these "favourite" numbers to have any luck about it...so...I just never moved up to 64.

My favourite number has since remained 32.
