The best deal I ever got was a 35mm camera with 2 lenses and a carrying case for $25.

I have to take a deeper look at this when i get home tonight. Jyhad cards are selling for 10 -18 bucks a piece....

I knew those godamn things would be worth somehting someday :D

I havent bothered looking at ebay for a while now... i guess i should :)

ShankS 03-08-2005 08:57 AM

I have a couple of Judge Dredd comics left from years ago, copies of the 1st and 2nd editions from the second series...the rest I sold or gave away. I've been meaning to get them both valued, I know there'd be some hardcore collector, who would love to get their hands on em for a decent price.

don't collect anything else, apart from my DVD and VHS collection.

Go for it Vod. My youngest son is getting into Magic the Gathering now and drives me crazy all the time to buy him cards on e-bay.

Vodstok 03-08-2005 09:09 AM

I got into that game at about the 4th series, when it's popularity exploded. i would have loved to have gotten in on the ground floor....

It would have been like buying microsoft stock 20 years ago.

I was glad to see that the Jyhad stuf fis worth so much, especially since it failed so badly.

I too have martial art weaponary... not much but some. Butterfly knives. I am excellent with the butterfly knife because I learned from a good book. And I use my butterfly knife as a letter opener so my skills with it remain sharp. I always wanted to get into the samurai swords but never got into it.

I collect Marilyn Monroe, Misfits, and M&M's memorabilia. Also of course movies, and music. Would pictures be something to collect as well as a hobby? I have tens of thousands

Elvis_Christ 03-08-2005 09:01 PM

I used to collect records but I sold them all to buy a new bass guitar. I've got a resonably big VHS collection. I've started collecting Comics, Fangoria and other horror related magazines. But yeh I'm having one of those mid 20s crisies so I'm starting to hold onto more of my possessions instead of selling them for beer and drugs :p

I've got issues 2,3,4,9, 10,11 and most of the first 30 - 40. I'm not sure what they'd go for? I've got quite a few issues of Gorezone they came with some great posters that I've got all over my walls (my girlfriend hates them tho - "There disgusting!")

movieman64 03-09-2005 04:30 AM

I had 4 huge binders of baseball cards in protective sleeves, somthing like 600-700 per binder, they were huge and weighed a ton. They were upper deck, fleer, and a couple of others and like brand new. They were from "90" and "91". I picked them up at an auction, thinking I might make some money, (I don't know a damn thing about trading cards). I put them on E-bay and the highest bid I got was $4.50 per binder, (I paid $10.00)! Hell the binders were worth more then that. I finally gave them to a friend as a Christmas gift. So it's no more trading cards for me.

Kemal 03-09-2005 05:53 AM

I collect books(mostly history) and guns(mostly rifles.) I have to keep most of my guns with a friend because of the restrictive laws in Washington D.C. which as you may guess, don't really do shit. Of the two, I value my books more. I buy them compulsively and have far more than I can read. In addition to history, I have been reading science fiction recently. I'm not really into horror/fantasy writing but I do like H.P. Lovecraft's stuff.

Yep. Me & my mom wore them to a Hallowen costume contest thing last year...there was a Freddy & a Jason there too! :p None of us won. A kid dressed as Spongebob, a kid dressed as an old woman, and a guy dressed like some character off Star Wars(?) were the winners. The star wars guy liked my Leatherface costume though. And all the little boys there liked the Leatherface & Michael Myers costumes too...I said they should have let the little boys be the judges. :p

Hahaha that's awesome! Halloween's just slowly starting to take off over here, can't wait till this year. People kept asking me if I'd been in an accident and if I was "alright" when I was walking home from a friends gig. Halloween gets all the religous crackpots going over here to which I find very intertaining!

How old is your kid? :) He sounds alot like my cousin(or at least the way he used to be when he loved dinosaurs...I haven't really seen him or been around him much in awhile.)
And speaking of knowing all the proper names, my other cousin used to be able to name every brand of vacuum cleaner imagineable just from looking at them in a book...and this was before he could read. I always thought it was pretty weird how he was so fascinated with vacuum cleaners. :p
