I'm more of a dog person myself, but I gotta say...they ain't much smarter than cats.
So far my stupid dog has chewed up 3 pair of sneakers 1 pair of headphones 3 x-box controller wires 2 hats assorted underwear some of my kids toys my Mc farlane Michael Myers figure |
re. the smoking ...
i can smell a cigarette car in the car in front of me on a highway so i'm a bit sensitive. I've always worked in smoke free zones .. (even back in the day when people smoked at their desks at work !!!!) 2 things get me now ... both at the office. 1) every fucking time i enter or leave the building i have to run the gauntlet through the haze of shit generated by the 'cancer club' as they hover near the doors. Move away from the doors and out of the path of the non smokers ... I try not to fart when people are near me .. i'd like the same consideration 2) get the fucking smoke out of your lungs before you get on the elevator. christ i might as well be out there with them having a butt .. at least i'd have the protection of a filter. re. the bottles ... yeah you'll never see these things again .. and the cool way they look with age... I cant blame the cat because i didnt witness it ... i merely suspect .. I has jumped on other stuff ... I guess I'm really lucky the tiles in the hallway didnt get cracked in the process. |

if you washed the crust out of your gotch maybe the dog wouldnt keep falling in love with them :) i'd be pissed re the mcfarlane toys. my 1st cat de-spined my album collection - all the s,t,u,v,w,x,y,z's which was the bottom shelf at the time - sharpening its claws. the collection has grown so its not so noticable... but shit ! |
I lost both my parents to smoking, they were both two-pack-a-day Pall Mall smokers, so thats where I'm coming from on that subject.
Do you notice, or is it just me, that more females smoke than males. |
HELL yeah...
|
I used to smoke, and was very concies... aw fuck it, i wasnt rude, being that before i smoked, i was pretty hardcore about not smoking. Thank god, i have since quit. I basically started because the only people i knew were thoughtless smoking assholes, and the only way that i could stop from gagging when i hung out with them was to smoke.
Brilliant logic, eh? Did i ever mention i was accepted to Yale? The right way, not the george bush way. Anyway, it boggles my mind how thoughtless and stupid people are about it because its just not that fucking hard not to be. As a kid, i was once at a restaraunt where the woman sitting in the booth behind me was holding her cigarrette over her shoulder, so the smoke wouldnt waft into her face..... , putting it right in mine. I turned around and flicked the tip of it off. She never said anything, but she quit holding it in my face. |

my wife lost her mom to lung cancer... i dont know about the US but i read somewhere that smoking Ads were targeted at young asian females ..the highest smoking demographic. definately females .. who i think suffer from nerves or lower self confidence more than males in general. (largely due to the differences in how we are raised) Another weird cultural thing is that i can remember not long ago it was very unusual to see blacks smoking and now i see it all the time. I was thinking they had mose sense... Before i piss on anyones cornflakes .. lots of my friends smoke - i know the reasons .. its mainly the inconsiderate smokers i have issues with. |
It's ONLY inconsiderate smokers I have any kind of problem with.
What a person does with their health, knowing the risks, is their own business, sure...I think it's stupid, but hey, that's why I MYSELF don't partake. Another thing that shits me, while I'm bitching at the whole smoking issue...just to ge it all out...is certain employers allowing smoke breaks. I don't get a break to sit down and do nothing, and I KNOW that due to these people on their smoke breaks, I'm sure as hell not going to be able to go out for a fresh air break... Basically, what it comes down to is this - I think the people that allow smoke breaks are smokers themselves mainly...it annoys me greatly that usually these people don't even need to sign off or put the times down that they weren't working, and essentially ge paid to partake in their drug habit. I AM however glad to see that the smoke break seems to be getting phased out in a number of places of employment over the last few years... In closing, if you wanna smoke, it's your health - just don't expect people to endorse your drug habit, and DON'T fuck with MY airspace. Ok, I think I'm about done on the smoking issue. |
i'm not done - one more thing.
anyone - ANYONE - smoking in a car with their kids .. should have a finger cut off each time until they fucking learn. It should be punishable by law .. strictest possible penalty. you might as well be beating the shit out of your kid. |
Well yeah....bruises heal though....but I get you - BOTH are pretty fucking aweful.
Now that you've brought it up, I personally don't think ANYONE should smoke around their kids. My girlfriends older brother smokes, but (if this isn't a COMPLETE juxtaposition) he does so responsibly, always steps outside, or makes sure the his two kids aren't around at the time - I respect this greatly. I completely disagree with smoking near young children, or while pregnant - I think they should both be considered an illegal offence. Still comes down to respecting others. OK - All things considered, I THINK that's about it... |
i'm done ..
and i've put the bottle thing behind me as well. did i mention that i smashed the side view mirror off of my van a couple of days ago ? I checked my blind spot to make a lane change and turned back to see eveyone had stopped right in front of me. I knew my left lane was clear so i automatically swerved into that lane - saving me from the biggest accident of my lifetime. there was a big bang but it was just the side mirror .. it got totalled .. in turn scratching the side window and the paint down the side of the van. the car i avoided had no damage. so i was lucky - but still pissed at the money i'm gonna have to spend to fix it now... (well over $200 i was told) so now there is a chunk of plastic hanging from a cord rubbing an arc of paint off the side of the van from the wind blowing it around. At the time i was on the way to get a flat tire fixed. It had to be replaced (100$) The donut i was riding on went flat just as i got there. The thing that holds the donut under the van (a long cable attached to a 'holding device' broke off from rust while trying to wind it up out of the way. all this shit has been within a week. and i still havent lost it. |
I'll observe the events to follow with keen interest...it's only a matter of time.;)

Nope, just make sure you carry gum and you're probably good with all but the most finnicky of non-smokers.
