He is indeed in it and if memory serves me correct he was good but the movie wasn't the greatest.

Laserdiscs: The Breakfast of Film Maniacs.

I couldn't stand it, and recently ordered the original versions of the "Star Wars" Trilogy (New Hope, Empire, and Jedi), which I foolishly traded away a long time ago back when I thought they would be available forever. Oh, thank goodness for Ebay.

taylorsmommy 01-06-2005 11:10 AM

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Van Helsing, Day After Tomorrow, Jeepers Creepers 1 and 2, The Howling

"Relieved" my bank account of some Christmas money today:D

Got a new DVD rack, hold 100, so now I have a goal....I should be able to fill it by mid-July, thats my guess....

I also got a couple cheap movies, seem liike AWESOME deals

Dog Soldiers had the wrong rating tag on it, so I picked that up for $7.99 CDN. Havnt watched it yet, but I think I will tonight. Cant wait, heared soooo many great things about it!! Then I was looking at racks of cheap movies [Mostly crap] and came across a Lee Van Cleef duster for $2, Beyond the Law. Well, westerns are my #2 favorite genre, figured I couldnt go wrong with that, even if itz shit, makes good filler for my DVD tower;)

urgeok 01-08-2005 08:22 PM

Invincible (werner herzog)
Frankenstein and the monster from hell
The Amityville horror (it was $5)
I Robot (i fell asleep 1/2 way through)
A 8 film abbott and costello set

and about 15 $1.33 walmart cheapies .. mostly vintage cartoons for my kid.

I swear the old Gumby and Pokey claymation shows were all made by guys on acid.

newb 01-08-2005 08:26 PM

For 10 bucks I picked up a great double feature..."Kolchak..The Night Stalker & The Night Strangler"......for you younguns......kind of an X-Files for the 70's.

Im gonna get majorly flamed for todays purchases, lol

For a grand total, tax and everything, of $10.21 CDN, I got two movies that are looked upon as Crap, neither of which Ive seen.

Street Fighter
Wes Craven's Chiller

I normally wouldnt have bought Chiller after reading a couple rewiews, but it was $2 bucks, and I wanted to rent it sometime anyway....cheaper to buy it, lol

And Street Fighter...Well, I loved Mortal Kombat, and I enjoyed the Sega Street Fighter games, aswell as a couple of the arcade ones....so Im looking forward to it!

The_Return 01-15-2005 06:20 PM

Chiller=Shit

Street Fighter= THE shit

Well, Chiller is officially the worst movie Ive even seen. Luckily, Street Fighter is one of the best action movies Ive even seen, so it kinda works out....almost....

filmmaker2 01-15-2005 08:50 PM

Ooo! Ooo! I just got my "Star Wars" movies in the mail, and I'm so geeky about them! They are the old old versions of them from way back when, and they are really cool. But mostly they are cool because Lucas stopped making them available when he put out his Special Edition versions, which suck, except for the Special Edition of "Return of the Jedi," which really needed some help.

ShankS 01-15-2005 11:24 PM

not horror, but I received the oither day ..... Alan Partridge Series 1 & 2 and The Complete Faulty Towers Series. :)

I did watch some horror.... SAW, but I've got to wait till March I think for that to get released on R2.

That movie was fucking hilarious, I saw that in the theater when it came out...

You don't really see much in the tub scene though...She's covered up by soap suds, and then she gets out and wraps a towel around herself...

I know, it's bloody awesome... you should get the set, there were only 12 episodes made, 6 per series.

the R2 boxset has 3 discs, the 3rd being extra stuff... Play.com have R1 versions, so they should be available elsewhere
