I prefer Industrial Rock, really...But basically almost anything with an abundance of Wicked, Kickass Guitar works for me:cool:
Sometimes, I'll listen to something just for personal/sentimental reasons, ie:
Longinus..."Silk And Stringwebs"..."Never Again"..."Soundtrack"...and "Track One"
Nine Inch Nails..."Hurt"..."We're In This Together Now"..."Fragile"..."Perfect Drug"..."Closer".. and "Physical"
Stabbing Westward..."So Far Away"..."What Do I have To Do?"...and "Bizarre Love Triangle"
Spiritualized..."Ladies And Gentleman W.A.F.I.S."
Self..."Waiting"
Failure..."The Nurse Who Loved Me"
Annie Lennox..."Love Song For A Vampire"
Fortunately...Longinus, Nine Inch Nails and Stabbing Westward ALSO have the amazing guitar, along with the personal meaning;)
And I absolutely LOVE Opeth's..."Harvest"...I could listen to it over and over again...And I often DO:)

Not strictly punk rock, I like a lot of stuff.
I like my music politically or socially charged.
Here's the punk I like...
Bad Religion, NOFX, Agnostic Front, Goldfinger, Pennywise, Lagwagon, Guttermouth, Millencolin, No Use for a Name, Green Day
I've been listening to Bad Religion and NOFX for about 10 years now. I also like a lot of rap, but not the poppy MTV type shit that's out right now. I like the lyricists like Nas, B.I.G., Eminem, Atmosphere, Tupac, Outkast, Wu Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, N.W.A. (And anything else Dr. Dre has a hand in. He's a fucking genius!)
In addition to punk rock and rap, I also listen to classic rock (Rolling Stones, Beatles, Petty, Dylan, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Hendrix, The Traveling Wilburys {Awesome!}, Blue Oyster Cult), hard rock (Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Static X, Pantera), and alternative rock (Nirvana, Sublime, Rage Against the Machine, The Toadies, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Self).
