Well, there aren't any Asians in this version, so I suppose it is a remake. I KNOW we're not talking about the same film, because the aswong on the roof doesn't eat her baby. She actually carries that thing to the end of the film. Um ... I don't know what you mean by "weird shit". We are talking about a horror movie ... right? I do want to pick up the original, though. It might actually be BETTER!

ud most likely have to find it at an asian rental place. i live in SD so we have them all over. but again, id ont think i can watch it. it scared the monkey shit out of me when i was ilttle and i think id regress into something and probably end up in a mental ward

Damn. You know, you're right. I didn't really think about the mother and son being more "evil." But I thought the scene with the mom on the roof was creepy as hell, and the son had his particularly creepy moments as well (when the girl is having the nightmare, and the camera pans over to his face as he is lying next to her in bed, with his eyes wide open. That look on his face is pretty unsettling.)
