You know, I might actually still have it. It was one of the papers I saved.
I basically remember what I wrote. So it's funny you asked, "Did you explain the entire movie and how that any person could be the murderer?", because I wrote, 'Last night family watched Murder By Death on TV. The world's greatest detectives meet at a mansion where people are being murdered one-by-one, and the detectives are trying to figure out who the murderer is.'
And I left it there. That was the end of the essay.
And my teacher wrote a rhetorical critique on it, rather than just a grammatical correction, and handed it back to me. She wrote it was very interesting subject, 'but don't end it there. Did the detectives figure out who the murderer was?' She probably saw it on TV that night too.
So yeah, we must have all been baffled by the ending.
