Jake - have a look at this site. He does bespoke covers for just $18(ish). Maybe he can come up with something that really catches the eye..?

blarrrgh

Finished this great tome over the weekend. When I tried to pen a (5 star) review I got this message:

"To submit a customer review: you need to use an Amazon account that has successfully been charged for a purchase. Free digital downloads don't qualify (including free Kindle books, apps, videos, or MP3s) as well as any free promotional items received. You don't need to have purchased the product you're reviewing. Learn more about writing customer reviews."

Wth! I swear... That makes me mad. I'm not sure what to do about that. Now I'm worried nobody else will be able to review.

Well on a side note. What did you think?

So it looks like its still free today... Im trying to get the hang of this whole amazon thing. So today is the last day of the free sale. I would like to know if anyone else is having the same trouble reviewing that Michael had?

It was a disturbing tale of crime noir terror. I felt uncomfortable yet strangely attracted rooting for the killer. Ashworth is especially effective in making the title character morbidly sympathetic: Thomas Harris might be the only comparison in this regard. My only criticism is it takes awhile to get used to the writing: the relentless first-person narrative at the beginning was jarring for me for awhile.

Well, that made me feel good. Blushing maybe even. It was some work to stick with the first person vibe, but it felt right for me. I was trying to make the reader feel as much like the protagonist as possible. Thanks for the kind words.

On a side note the free period is over and the book is back up to a dollar. It seemed pretty successful. Now Im just waiting patiently for reviews lol. Thank you for trying Michael, it appears in order to review you have to have bought something through Amazon before. Its their way of making sure people don't just create accounts in order to review their own stuff.
