was thinking of it as a song, but i can't write music for the life of me. i always wonder how musicians come up with such great melodies.

For me i almost always come up with the melody first, then try to find lyrics that fit.....if i try the other way around its much, much harder....

what's hard about melody, for me anyway, is trying to come up with something original. i almost always have a melody i've already heard in mind when i think of lyrics.

Actually, i always hated music class....i loved art and thought id be an artist....one of the things i remember most vividly from elementary school was walking to music class saying "God, i hate music class, why do i even need this anyway....its not like im gonna be a musician or anything!!"
