The tone of this film was much more serious than I was expecting. To the point where I felt that it was less fun than House of 1000 Corpses or The Devil's Rejects. It still includes many of the things I've come to expect from Rob Zombie like an excellent score and casting of horror alums like Ken Foree and Dee Wallace. Meg Foster's performance as the witch was absolutely creepy. It also delivers on some very disturbing imagery and some interesting psychedelic visuals.

I am a HUGE Rob Zombie fan but this was, by far, one of the worst movies I ever watched!! I was so disappointed.......

Rob Zombie's mind..is ..umm, awesome. I love what he puts on film. This film looked beautiful, it was a fever dream. I cannot wait to see his newest film.. 31.

I thought it was pretty good, and a bit disturbing in a good way. Unlike all those slaughter-the-teenagers-splatterfest movies, this one had zero humor, and the repetitive music was almost hypnotic and evil sounding. I thought Sheri Moon nailed the part very well.

In my opinion, this film sucks. Rob Zombie's films want to seem as unusual films, as unique films, but the outcome is completely different compared with idea that Rob Zombie has got.
For this reason, his films are ugly and without logic. |
