Star Wars is a great ref. They stayed and added instead of took and try to add more sales. friday the 13th, noelm, halloween, etc just tried to capatlized on the name. Saw would of been a lot better if they didnt try to do 7 movies in 6 years and spaced them out every couple of years.

I would say that, the Original Frankenstein series, A Nightmare on Elm Street series, Alien, and Halloween series's have really good continuity. Friday the 13th is a great series, but one of the worst for continuity. This series is constantly contradicting itself. This coming from a huge fan of the Friday the 13th series.
