I have a major problem with the 2003 version and all of the inspired by crap, when they don't use but about 5-10% of any actual background of the movie to inspire it. Was there ever a farm house family involved in what you found out? From all of the gein stuff, it seems like they just decided "ok, there was a guy"....and that's how they decided to say it was inspired by him. Atleast, from my own research that's what it's shown.

ok

yes there was actually a farm family involved it was the killers family infact. they were all crazy and enjoyed murdering people.

alrighty, in that case they need to stop with this ed gein stuff. someone who lived in Wisconsin and never used a chainsaw being said to inspire a movie called Texas Chainsaw, just doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. Although, someone told me one day that they couldn't call it the Wisconsin Butcherknife haha

My whole problem is mostly based in New Line Cinema's whole "Inspired By" thing...they only use little parts, and claim that it's inspired...but the real kicker was the evidence kits they gave out to the press. Some of them believed it was real. I'd have to ask myself, why the hell New Line Cinema would have the evidence.

Still, I like the original TCM much better than the new one.

I agree with the whole ed thing they need to base it on the full truth not just little parts of it. wisconsin butcherknife oh my! lol!! that would be messed up!!
