Thanks for the kind words folks.
Been so busy with all the prep shit, we've decided to just stick with the defaults for this time.
Next time (planned 5 year "re-wedding") we'll be better prepared, make a bit more of an occasion of it, and we should have River to join us by then so I might ask him/her to write at least one for me.

Well, currently in my last 48 hours of being unwed.
Really though, after this long it feels like nothing's about to change at all.

Good luck for sunday I really hope you both enjoy yourselves and it all works out great for you :)I like the idea of this being a small affair and making more of a fuss later when better prepared makes a lot of sense if it is right for you both. Take care :)

I've not been with my lady as long as you've been with yours(12 years). You are correct, nothing does change. I felt no more in love with her than the day before our wedding, I just loved her enough to recognize what she had wanted since she was a little girl. She had always wanted a wedding so I gave it to her and pretended it was what I had always wanted as well. If it makes her happy then I am happy.

Congrats though, Cheeb. I hope you have nothing less than marital bliss!

Oh yea, congrats Cheebs.

How does it feel?

cheebacheeba 03-13-2012 04:58 AM

s'all good.
Have had a tiring couple of days.
Nothing much out of the ordinary.
Felt pretty weird actually *doing* the wedding bit, but whatevs.

I can imagine.

And next day everything was back to normal? Work and all?

congrats Cheebs.

from someone who's been doing the married thing for 31 years, I will just say....keep a sense of humor and plenty of beer on hand :D

Had the brother and mother here until yesterday (wed 14th) so it was a bit "busy" but still cool to see them for a few days.
Everything is winding down now, I took the week off work though.

Not beer, but...other sense-of-humour enablers for sure ;)
Yeah, we're past most of the bullshit - I think keepijng the humour and not sweating every argument, putting up with eachothers shit is all it's about.

Congratulations, Cheebs!!! Shouldn't you be on your honeymoon? ;)
