This seems like the most common plot.

Group of coeds go camping/get lost in woods.
Some old local townie tells them a story about the danger they're in.
They decide to 'split up'.
A few have sex, usually The Jock and The Bimbo/Slut, and get killed.
Black character gets killed. (Not trying to sound racist, it's just a trend I've noticed.)
Druggie Kid gets killed.
Comic Relief Character gets killed in slightly humorous fashion.
Nerd Kid gets killed at the end before professing love to Virgin Girl.
The innocent Virgin Girl 'kills' Villian and lives.
Villian's body is never found.

they find the villains body floating in a river but its not the villain its just a man without legs tripping into the water
