The series then just ticks over till number 9 which is again a great idea but shockingly terrible, the franchise is yhen saved by Jason x imo.

It's like Halloween, number three is a great concept but didn't put bums in seats so by the time we get to number 6 its a bit of a mess, though I have a soft spot for 666, the version that was never released.

I also enjoyed Rob Zombies Halloween but his sequel was all kinds of bad.

Oh and for the record there's only one Jason Voorhies and his names Kane Hodder :)

YES!!! Exactly Kane Hodder is the best Jason he made him totally bad ass do u think the 666 halloween is online somewhere???

Agreed on Kane Hodder! Never even heard of this Halloween 666 thing???

Halloween 666 the producers cut delves into the whole mythology of thorn and how that ties into what makes Jason the killer he is. It's only available on bootleg which ordinarily is not condone but I highly recommend it as it answers questions that go ignored in the theatrical cut.

Hodder is the man and I was gutted he didn't get to go toe to toe with Robert Englund in Freddy vs Jason. His turn in Hatchet is great too.

It brings closure to the Myers/Loomis dynamic too

OK I thought that was just the same film as Halloween 6 hence the confusion-I guess this directors cut goes into the back story more-I'll check it out.

It's labelled the producers cut and frankly is a completely different movie, not just slightly different but almost a whole other film.

I accidently bought the 666 version many years ago and got hella confused! I'd seen the regular version on cable and thought I had got a shitty foreign bootleg, little did I know I had actually gotten a little treasure!:)(i got it for 3 bucks at a pawn shop!)

My thoughts on your F13th pics(in the spirit of debate):

1 is overrated imo. I found it kind of boring and didn't much care for the story...
2 was an improvement imo.
3&4 were the best in the franchise imo. They are my 2 favorites.

I think the first two are collectively a great start up to the franchise and work together in much the same vein as the first two Halloween movies. I think I may have got my numbers wrong as four is the Corey Feldman entry isn't it? If so I do like that movie, its number five the new beginning I'm not keen on and then everything upto Jason X is kinda dreadful although the end of number 9 with Freddys glove is spinechillingly great.
