I have this tv show series linked at the moment and it isn't bad... A Haunting. I think it's on Discovery. Reconstruction style documentary series of, you guessed it, hauntings.

Here's an old movie that doesn't get mentioned, might be late '70s or early 80s and scared the shit out of me as a 6 y.o. - The Watcher in the Woods. Haven't seen it since but wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts on this one.

I'm not familiar with it, but it looks good.

Ok these are a bit obscure for me but I've seen A Warning To The Curious-basically get it now. Its very much of its time but I find sometimes the simplest of things can be terrifying. Its all atmosphere, foreboding dread and I know you will appreciate if you don't mind the simplicity of it. When this was first shown on tv waaaay back when it was at christmas. It is certainly not christmassy but imagine your watching at christmas and you're not a horror fan. I realise this may seem rambling but this will make sense when you watch it. There's just something about it that you never forget once you've seen it. Its like it taps into your primal fears like a genuinely scary film does.

I'm sure I've seen this at the name is ringing huge bells. Did you also see The Green Man the first 5minutes scared the hell out of me as a kid but I saw it recently and was disappointed. But then wasn't it ripped off in The Guardian (the film not the paper)? I seem to vaguely remember possibly being scared by that but its a very faint memory I'm dreadging up here.

Monsters--This is an anthology series with twenty something minutes long stories, mostly horror which all feature monsters in some form or another.

Kindred the Embraced--This series is only eight episodes long, it is inspired by the roleplaying game Vampire the Masquerade and follows Julian Luna, the Prince or leader of the vampires in San Fransisco as he tries to battle both politics and a love affair.

Friday The 13 the TV series--, this was a three seasons series which do not have any connection to the movie series save one spin off where the artifact in question is Jason's hockey mask. It was rumored that the mask was to feature in the last episode of the series but that episode was never made. The series follows a group of people who are trying to reacquire numerous cursed items from a antique shop before they hurt people.

The Witches and the Grinnygog-- a short six episode series about a group of witches who ally with some children to find the Grinnygog, a sort of stone talisman.

Special Unit 2--In this series you have a woman who joins a group of people who fight Links, supernatural creatures who hide in modern society.

Vampire High--In this series a group of six vampires is sent to a high school to be a night class in the hope that it will teach them how to live with humans.

Vampire Boy--This is a Japanese TV series about a high school boy who falls in love with his teacher, as it turns out he is a vampire, and she was his girlfriend when she was a teenager and he was alive.

Cosplay Yurei Guren Onna--This is another Japanese TV series, it is about a timid teacher who get her kicks dressing up as a ghost and scaring people. However soon she begin to meet real ghosts and have to solve their problems and often fight them.

Kolchak the Nightstalker--This is sort of a Spiritual predecessor to the X-Files and it inspired the creators of The X-files enormously. The series is about a reporter who go around and solves supernatural related crimes.

Small Wonder--This is a sit com about a typical, happy sit com family, there is only one exception, the little girl in the family is a robot.

Touching Evil--This is a British mystery series which saw and American remake, it is about a detective who almost get killed, he is clinically dead for a while, when he comes back he have the ability to see the connection in all things.

I recommend them, I really enjoy the series on my list, some are out on DVD others have to be aquired from a certain Internet bay.

I have edited my post, I wrote the wrong name of a series. It is off course Friday the 13 the TV series not Halloween the TV series. For some reason those two tittles get mixed up in my mind constantly, it is quite embarrassing. Now the title is right however, sorry for the mix up.

I just watched A Warning To The Curious based on the story by MR James. That was truly unnerving! This incredibly creepy story coupled with Gyorgy Ligeti's bone-chilling music piece 'Atmospheres' will probably keep me awake half the night.
